NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg, 2025

Well it's done and dusted we lose 12 - 30 which in my personal opinion watching the game was not a true reflection of the game.

The MOM to me was Tanah Boyd who just steered that Warriors team around the ground. His short kicking game set up 3 tries and unfortunately made our hb look pedestrian, exactly what happened when we were given a footballing lesson over the ditch earlier this year.

However in saying that the Dragons players did us proud and there is definitely some very promising youngsters out there today who will gain great experience playing in their 1st GF.

Illias being sent to the bin for 10 min hurt us, as did the loss of Sele and then Muhleisen in the first 20 minutes. We were actually up 6 - 4 before 2 quick back to back tries just before ht saw the Warriors 6 - 16 up at oranges.

A couple of missed tackles also hurt us and apart for 2 x 10 minute periods in each half we were matching them if not beating them.

Also not having Halangahu or LPT available hurt us and our right edge attacking structures did suffer as a result. But the lads dug in and that's all you can ask.

The Warriors were the best team all year and we were the 2nd best and it panned out that way today.

Congratulations to the two lads named in the NSW Cup team of the year, Cody Ramsey and Jonah Glover well deserved lads.

The future looks bright and promising moving into 2026/2027. Wishing one and all a safe and healthy off season.

I'll be there leaving next month

Were you shot in the line of duty and compensated very bigly or are detectives paid that much?
Superannuation for police back in the day was double that of normal jobs. Also we had define benefit so your total years of service is x by 0.245 a year x your finishing base salary.

So an example a person with 39 yrs service with a base rate of $100k meant 100,000 x 9.55 = $955k on retirement.

Don't forget though you have to live on that unless you get a job after retirement at 60 until part aged pension kicks in at 67. Define benefit superannuation stopped 20 yrs ago. So no Brown paper bags lol

The boys should be proud of themselves, great season overall especially after the late season drain when 1st grade was getting battered with injuries, that had a huge bearing on how the season finished.

Been a big year for LPT, Halangahu, Tsougranis, Buchanan and Ramsay.

Players like Liu, Webster, Hutchinson etc will only grow as players with 2025 under their belts too

Future looks bright just the dreaded injury curse and losing talent to other clubs may hinder our progress in coming seasons
