I've seen Moses slap the ref today at least twice on purpose. What happened to the no touch ref rule? Poor old Tyson Frizell was suspended for a match for turning around and accidently brushing the ref who was behind him. What crap.
Well the NRL noticed this as well and has warned Moses. Warning? WTF - if it was one of our guys touching the ref 3 times, he would be suspended for a couple of weeks.

Well Penrith are beatable, and you have to say that the Dogs came out with a mission. They started on fire could have easily rolled over when they got run down but finished off really well. Lets see if we see something similar later today from a team that has had an honesty session.

How good was their defence! elite line speed, great physical contact & multiple numbers in tackles. More importantly they maintained it for nearly the entire game. Very impressive. Imo they simplified their attack too, a bit like Manly under Foz. No need for block plays & complicated attacking moves.

Get your attacking players 1v1 against the defender & take advantage of any tackle breaks, offloads & incorrect defensive decision making. This was on the back of generating quick play the balls which had the Panthers defence on the backfoot. Their line speed wasn't great as they couldn't set their defensive line quick enough.

Yes, I'm jealous.

I hate to give them credit but the line speed and getting numbers into tackles really unsettled Nathan Cleary last night. That was the worst game I've seen him play.

Agreed that Penrith are beatable, so too the Bulldogs and other clubs in this day of rule changes and players that are built for endurance and speed (most clubs anyway). Ciraldo definitely worked out his game plan to the letter against his old head coach. The roll on was there from the beginning for the Bulldogs and those early tries set the foundation for their win, allowing for a passage where it looked like the Panthers were hitting stronger straps to run over the Dogs but the straps had no affect on the end result.

Note that no-one picked the Dogs in the Tipping contest. On form, how could have we?
