Not sure Morgan. I tell you what young Ilias is playing with more confidence under Hannay and getting plenty of game time. Flanno got rid of Ilias to keep Kyle in firsts. Damn criminal.

I suspect Deano has become toxic in coaching circles. Clubs should and I'm pretty sure would, like to know why he hasn't gone to war with Flanno. Though I don't know how coaching works. Are assistants just yes-men for the head coach?

Manly look the real deal under Foran. A recent player retiree, Foran knows what is needed to win games, the types of players needed etc. He has a brilliant footy mind. He will end up Head Coach after this interim year at Manly in my opinion. If not, he could be in demand for sure with other clubs.

I would assume Eric that most HC's would already have their AC's sorted when they take on a coaching position. I dont know if in our case Flanno was told that DY would be his assistant without a choice. As far as I'm concerned HC's and AC's are there because they compliment each other in all aspects of the game. They are not there to tell the coach he's a f$#kwit or constantly butt heads.

As you said, given the situation, the recruitment and team selections, I'd have expected news about much more butting of heads and a much diminished relationship between the two.
