So after one week joining the Roosters the dietitians changed Cody's life from 77k to 86k. Very very pleased for him, such a shame it couldn't be here. Robbo said really great things about him also.
You can really tell the Roosters really appreciate having him there at the club. WTF! DRAGONS why couldn't you see your reserve grade fullback and captain wasn't worth keeping for $140,000. Its staggering it really is.

Wouldn't it be just the natural healing process, not due to anything the Roosters have done?
Arguable about Gutho but he'd be better than Sloan at fullback and the best winger we have.

We are talking about a small amount of money he is being paid to a Gutho or a Sloane and a tonne more heart and courage. We could see last year he was nearly there. I feel we have missed out on one of the best fullbacks we could have had in many years.

This thread relates to Other Clubs in 2026 and I don't know if anyone has already posted anything on Cody Ramsey after his first game back in the NRL for the Roosters. If not, I am posting an interview that he did after his game which was on Foxsports News.

He does credit the Dragons in helping him go through the early stages of his illness but I sense that he will be a lifelong admirer of the Roosters just like many of the players who have gone there like Brett Morris. I sort of knew that the Roosters liked what Ramsey could do as a player when fit so they took a gamble and got his signature after speaking to specialists and dieticians as to how Cody can increase his weight, what foods to eat and not to eat and the sorts of medical advice that they would have done before that signature. Cronk, JWH and Robbo have congratulated him wholeheartedly on his much improved state.

We will have to wait and see Eric. I have no doubt that one year a team losing to 50+ in the comp proper will end up winning the Premiership under these new rules. Who knows? It could happen this year for the Tigers?

That's why we are spoon material right there , the speed of the game , we don't have any ......... Games are blowing out to big scores , it use to be defense wins games , that has shifted , attack wins games these days .......... Said before Flanno coached side was based on defense not attack , big scores are happening , due to the modern game .......
Slightly off topic. But how bout in the Newcastle Souths game yesterday. Ponga makes a legitimate tackle, gets penalised by the ref and told to “reduce the force”. Like wtf!! Not late, not high.
In the Penrith game. Hate him or love him but that was 100% obstruction on Cleary. Cannot believe the refs/video refs are now analysing defensive lines and saying Cleary wouldn’t have got to Brooks. Again wtf!! He had zero chance to slide out coz he was cleaned up in the line by a poor lead run.
And don’t get me started on Victor Radley. On report for a hip drop: player replaced and out for weeks now. Zero.
High tackle on Talty. Flush contact. Zero.
Head to face contact on Carrigan. Zero.
