About a year ago people were talking about offering Tino Fa’asuamaleaui over a million a year. I insisted he's one of the most overrated players in the competition (I'm not saying he isn't good, just overrated) and in no time at all, the Couchman's would be better. I had a suspicion they'd be better at the start of this year but didn't want to say it for fear of getting flamed.
Now I think I can say I was right. He's worth not more than 800k a season and the Couchman's are better.

Everyone wants their own Payne Haas. So clubs squint at Tino, AFB, and anyone else with size, reputation and representative status, and convince themselves: “That’s close enough. We can pay him like he’s Payne Haas.”
They are right to want Payne Haas. They are wrong to delude themselves into believing anyone else is really that close to his level.

Agreed, comparing players to the greatest front rower of all time isn’t a good reference point
People made these comparisons with Loko and while Loko’s talented he’s nowhere near where Payne was at the same age

We’ve paid a fair price for a great front rower
Haas is just another level and the Bennett factor is a major reason he’s chosen to go to souths
No one thinks KK is as good as Haas, but signing big athletic gun front rowers isnt trying to emulate signing Haas and any club who thinks another prop can have that impact is just deluded

I'd say KK is way better than Tino Fa’asuamaleaui. What the Dragons are reported to be paying him is about right. Souths probably getting a bit of a bargain with Haas though no matter how good he is, how much can a team afford to pay a prop with the salary cap the way it is?

I think that we have a good relationship with the Couchman's they dont want to go and we dont want them to leave, that is a good start.

Cowboys are losing and will lose shortly against the Dolphins who have been very good. Good defence. But Drinkwater is the Cowboys best. He's a menace with his ball playing close to the line. I think we have a good buy in him.

Yeah just looking at him today Morgs, there is no doubt he is a attacking machine but defense is questionable. He needs forwards to do their job and I think ours will next year.
