Recruitment & Retention 2027

Yep, there’s certain young players like us with Reed where other clubs have zero chance of signing them bar offering them ridiculous money
From where I sit, I can't see the big issue with hooker. Even if Cook doesn't play on or isn't offered a new contract, Connor Muhleisen isn't much of an attacking threat but passes well from dummy half and tackles everything that moves. Liddle is an attacking threat but can't play 80 min. So what's the drama? Don't they compliment each other? Give Liddle a 20 min break while Connor runs around talking everything that moves and just passing from dummy half for 20 min. And he can fill in, in the halves as well.

Just seems to make perfect sense to me which why I guess there is something I'm not privy to preventing that.

I’d be ill if we let Muhleisen play first grade regularly

Nice guy but he’s not NRL quality simple as that, coming off an ACL too. No thanks, NSW cup player that can occasionally fill in during an injury crisis

We should have a way higher standard that we expect from the hooker, not just a stock standard tackle and pass merchant

You don't think a backup hooker on not much money, playing around 20 min a game, passing well from dummy half and tackling a lot, is worth using? Even if that was all he did. But even then in a pinch he can kick and he's hardly useless with his running game.

It would be better if we had a gun hooker who plays 80 min like Storm, Tigers, Rorters but we don't. As a makeshift option for next year and 2028, seems decent but I'm sure you know more about it than me.

I had high hopes for him becoming a solid first grader hasn’t really kicked on from that sg ball winning squad.

Connor will be 25 next year with 11 NRL games to his name, 4 starting only thru injuries.
He played no FG in 25 and more than likely won't play any this year, he is not the answer.
