I think he was referring to the '27 season.

Unless we can magically offload the likes of Suli and Kyle etc.

Bostock, Farnworth etc. would be '28 targets as it stands...

I think it will be more Bostock if he doesn't sign with the Dolphins before Nov 1. Definitely for 2028. Anderson knows who would be the best fit for us in the centre positions for 2028 and I think they will be the two B's - Bostock and Burton. We will not have Gutho, Holmes, Suli, and maybe Flanagan - so should have enough capital to secure Bostock. This is the key to our journey up that high ladder which is growing with the extra rungs added for the Bears and Chiefs.

Got a feeling that our Wingers will be Sami and maybe Sloan (if circumstances change) but then that depends on how the likes of Rumble and Williams go in 2027.

I'm taking a punt and say that the Dragons might keep Kyle for another couple of years after 2027. He most probably will play lots of Cup games in 2027 but when Watson leaves after his only year with us in 2027, we need someone like Kyle who could be a good bench back up.

Our shoring up of our back line is crucial and the Club doesn't need me to state this when they know that it is obvious to them.

I wish we could sign Bostock but can the we afford to keep all the young forwards, sign KK, Drinkwater, Metcalf extend Burton and still afford around 1 mil a season for Bostock? I hope we can but I doubt it. Around this time next year, we might be talking about Rocco Walker as well. I think we have to put our hopes in Charlie Heidke to partner Burton in the centres. If not next year, from 2028.

You could be right there DF. His manager will be "shopping around" for a good price for his client and then go back to the Dolphins for a higher price and if they reach agreement, he is likely to stay. The other possibility is that with Alex Johnston leaving the Bunnies at the end of 2027 to play for the Chiefs, Wayne Bennett might try and lure Bostock to Souths for 2028. But I now feel that he will stay at the Dolphins.
