Gutho and Kyle would need to be paid 100% because no other club will want them. Not even in the ESL. Suli and Atkinson should be able to find deals elsewhere if Dragons are willing to pay part of their salary.

Suli offers from what I believe were well below dragons he ain’t gunna give up his 600k- 700k salary for $300k

We would have to pay the difference, i.e. he wont lose anything (for 2027).. its more the club doesnt want to pay that much freight.. and we would still have to replace him potentially... ctr depth isnt great for us, but just depends how badly they want Suli out.

If the new club offers him 300k and he's on 650k now, I presume the Dragons would have to pay the difference. Next year he'll probably be offered even less and won't have an offer from the Dragons at all. So if he can get 300k for 3 years now, he should take it.

Val Holmes as well won't get an offer beyond his current deal as well. Though DA and Deano probably want to keep him around for next season.

I wish Gutho would retire. Get a payout, not all of it but a good % and go out with some pride rather than quietly in reserve grade in front of 100 spectators.

. I like him. He always gives 110% and is always around the ball, looking for work plus he seems to be a good communicator. But since the game speeding up at the same time as Gutho slowing down, he's done. Not first grade standard.

His pattern seems to be he's good for about the first 6-8 weeks of the year then runs out of gas or gets too banged up for the rest of the season.
The effort is still there (which you can't say about some) but the body can't keep up.
It's kinda of irrelevant now we have Drinky because I don't think he has the game in either attack or defence to play centre.
Sadly, bench reserve back 18 or 19 is his likely best role next season.
