As I predicted a comfortable come from behind win. The best halfback in the world was needed and luckily for us he is in our team.

So sitting at the Treetops Tavern with just the 4 NSW Supporters me, the wife, my best mate who is a Newtown tragic and his wife surrounded by maroon supporters.

An uncomfortable first 20 min to the game where we looked and were 2nd best Cleary got us back into the game.

Undoubtedly the send off cost the Maroons victory but it was a send off every day of the week, the slight head clash certainly came after the illegal shoulder charge.

In those conditions it was always going to be hard for 12 men to hold onto that lead and thankfully with the last attacking kick of the night got us the chocolates with an amazing contested catch under those conditions by the form fullback of the competition.

To my eye we cant start with the same run on 13. If Haas comes through unscathed he should walk back into the team. I thought the debutants did themselves proud, Strange and Koula and both should retain their spots based on their performances.

How good is that young McLean going to be ? He should start next game he provided impact when introduced. I thought Brailey was the better of our hookers provides better passing game.

We celebrated with a roadie 2 x schooners of Tooheys New whilst the tavern emptied quickly after the final whistle.

A win is a win but we got away with one, still if you are going to break the rules you pay the price. I can see why some on here don't rate the current coach.

Are they what. If you aren't picked for Origin you certainly wont be for Australia. That is the sad truth. I was wondering why Lindsay Smith was not among the Blues rotating props. Suppose they see Barnett as more of a bruiser than Smith. I know who the more skillful is tho...

Very weird, in fact unbelievable. Like we always say, if it was a Dragons players - bye, bye see you in 3 weeks time. Not liking how there is no consistency - Ponga deserved to get at least a week but the committee probably thought by him being sent from the field that was enough to "penalise" him seeing that his team ended up losing.

Heaps of commentary around it being important to send Ponga off to protect Koula ... um ... he is already knocked out ... how does sending ponga off protect him?

Better team than in the first game. Payne Haas is a big in and Crighton hasn't been in form. I would have dropped Reece Robson.
