No way, as far as Holmes is concerned for what he is being paid he needed to be gone weeks ago.

You don't think being injured is just an excuse he's putting out there? If his form was as a result of injury, the staff would have to let him rest until he's fully fit. After all, it's early in the season not sudden death finals football.

Seems to me that he hasn't gotten over the injuries he has endured since September 2024 when he broke his leg and recent output for the Dragons has been curtailed by lingering shoulder issues, a painful leg injury, and an early-year hamstring problem. He doesn't have that zip and slide movement which was his trademark with the Sharks and Cowboys. His running has been hampered by those hamstring problems and his tear of the rotator cuff is probably still causing him some pain so his tackling has not been truly effective. In my opinion as we are no hope of avoiding getting the spoon this year, I think he should be given a good rehab rest for a month or so to help with long term recovery and fitness.

If its that bad you can always medically retire, how good will he be next year, most certainly not worth what we are paying him. And whilst we are at it, Gutherson needs to consider the same.

It'll be interesting to see what Deano does with the halves. DA has been really bad since the first 2 games, when he was pretty good. We all know what Kyle is going to bring to the game. Might play a big part in preventing big blowout scores but an even bigger contribution to scoring very few points.

Lets keep going with what we have, lets face it we are only going through the motions now and i would prefer no long term injuries impacting us for next year. Apart from maybe giving a few youngsters a go, who cares really. Put luch in at 5/8 and Atko to FB. I'd like to see TPH play somewhere but also I dont want him injured as I believe he will have a place to play next year in some way.
