Round 13 v Newcastle

I find the sudden shift away from Terrell May fascinating, after nothing but glowing media all year, and the way he handled the no-origin news also very surprising.. can only hope he falls away from the level hes been at.. hate seeing the tigers get such a leg up these past few months.

What do you mean by 'leg up'?
I don't mind the Tigers improving so much. Benji has done a good job. He recognised the need to go backwards before going forward. A lesson Flanno should learn. Would rather they win than Penrith or a team closer to home.

With a bit more help from teammates and not being injured at just the wrong time, Toby Couchman might have been a solid chance of getting selected for Origin. Would be almost the perfect bench forward the way he tackles and the way he can play on an edge or in the middle.

I wonder if Flanno will just recall Couchman for Egan or whether Couchman will replace Lawrie and RFM, Halangahu or Tsougranis will be called up. Probably the first and that's ok. He's much better as an edge forward than a middle forward.

With the bye next week there’s a possibility that Couchman and Guler will be available then add Sele who got through cup today in 1 piece plus RFM. At least there are troops on the way back. Can’t see Nick T or Halangahu get a call up just yet

Kyle is a decent enough goal-kicker, just out of practice, but he has a few weeks.. centre is probably Allan, with either CT outside him or Lawson.

The Egan replacement is the big one.. Flanno said it looked like an ACL but until its confirmed its a slim chance it could be something less severe. It just depends if he wants to retain Leilua from the bench.. otherwise he can start him and put Nick or whoever on the bench instead.

Yah and Toby/Guler we wont know till closer.. also Sele I think is ready, he can do whatever Lawrie does I reckon... id feel better if Toby was around though, knowing he could 60-80mins if it came to it.

Assume CT is fit to play, who gets replaced out of Allan & Sloan? Imo I'd move Allan to right wing & drop Sloan. We don't play to Sloan's strengths & I'd prefer us having all of our back 5 who are strong in yardage carries. Especially when our halves have an average kicking game. I think field position is more important to our team than Sloans speed.

Or give Lawson a chance who is a strong ball carrier and is fast.

Be very hard to drop Sloan after his 2 tries yesterday
