There are so many things wrong with this team its not funny, this off season Watsford better start cracking the whip, I will not be putting up with anymore excuses, our depth in the forwards is ordinary, our halves need reshaping etc etc etc. Lets get real we have made finals how many times in 15 years, I'm sick and tired of always looking at next year. This COE better start to work !!!

Flanno has to get used to Blake Lawrie not being in the team. Nick T should've been on the bench.

  • Its a hard one because with our injuries and draw to come, we need some luck to win games.. and we tried hard enough these last 2 weeks.. but just fell short... but unless we can turn a good effort into a win... we will keep sliding to the bottom... we just need to jag one against the dogs or cows..
  • Sloan leaving his winger unmarked for 2 tries though.. I mean FMD.. a 12pt deficit as if winning wasnt hard enough.. give Heidke a contract and leave Sloan in reserves.. we have to be more aggressive in this space.
  • On top of that just dumb errors and penalties at the wrong time.. we basically gave the roosters the field position for every single point they scored.. its been an issue all year.. self-sabotage.
  • Overall tbh I think were playing pretty well given the roster.. I do think the selections have cost us 3-4 games this year though, I think its crazy we arent playing Nick in the 2nd row with Luciano on the bench.. that improves our roster so much.. and we would have no need for 1 of Lawrie/MMolo.. and lets be honest MMolo is going better than Lawrie atm.. looks far more reliable/steady despite being less experienced.
  • And although Sione had some errors, im not sure if its just him or if he needs to be given a few weeks straight of faith to find his feet.. but my gosh its been since the trials that we have seen the Val+Sione combo.. can only imagine how many tries we would have scored if we had kept them together instead of the obsession with CT/Allan/Feagai on that edge...

Well let's be honest we won't be making the 8 again this season. We have been competitive in the majority of our games this season but there appears to be an expectation that this is good enough and if we jag a win then that's a bonus. It's a mindset/ mentality issue.

We just lack that big bodied prop that gives us the necessary go forward and we certainly dont have a hb / game manager or a halves combination that would cause our opponents concern.

We lack intensity both in defence within our 20m and in attack in their 20m. We just don't seem to be able to execute our attacking structures on a consistent basis especially in the opposition red zone.

Looking forward to the future we have a new CEO and now recruitment manager. We have an abundance of good young forwards coming through and perhaps now we may be in a better position to recruit those players we so badly need.

Another year of no semi finals football which for our once feared club and loyal supporters is certainly not good enough.

It is now the right time to give more time in 1sts to those youngsters who deserve the opportunity and give them the necessary experience that will move us forward in the coming seasons.

I thought the second one wasn't Sloan's fault. But first was.

Just reading comments. The scoreline indicates to me that we are still not able to make a fist of games to actually win them. So mny games losing by small scores. I expected us to be thrashed today but we could have won instead. I didn't watch the game to avoid stress and high blood pressure.

Defence is poor still. A massive job to get them to tackle effectively.

The Roosters don't need DCE when they have Walker.

W need a couple more wins to keep us at least in 11th position on the ladder. We definitely won't make top 8 this year.

This is our problem George. If we still have Dean Young as the defence coach next year, he has to throw out his useless old ideas on how to defend and bring in newer ways to get our team to effectively defend.

Talking of next year, are we confident of much improvement in the results? The older players will be older and slower. The young ones still need a lot of growing up and work harder and so far we only have Daniel Atkinson from the Sharks coming.

Just hoping that Daniel Anderson, if he actually becomes our R &R head man, can get a couple of big men signed up to strengthen our middle and a couple of quick backs.

We are pinning our hopes on the juniors coming good. I hope that they will.
