Round 20 vs NZ Warriors

Imagine - that's a great song by John Lennon.
I'm reporting you to the police for possible ties to the Communist Party.

Avoiding the spoon after the season we have had would be a coup but seems like wishful thinking. Gold Coast and Parra are improving faster. Broncos or Canberra are more likely. With the squad Broncos have, I can only see them winning more games than losing from next game.

Very funny GRCV - me tied to that party - never. My political agenda is strong for another party here not that one you referred to but I don't want to talk politics here - I am doing too much of it elsewhere and the last time I mentioned a polly's name I got turfed from that other forum.

Go the Dragons in Round 20. Outscore the Warriors boys and you will obviously win .

With injuries to a few key players I think they are beatable. Imagine if we got a few more wins to avoid the spoon!
Don't know what you are smoking, but I'd love some. Keeping this to under 20 would be an achievement. They played shit yesterday and still flogged wests by 30. We played our best game of the year and barely beat a weaker version of that same WT team.

Probably wishful thinking bordering on delusion but stranger things have happened.

Given the limitations of our current squad, the only way we can win is by dragging teams into a shit fight and hoping to grind them out. That only works against sides like Newcastle and the Raiders who we came close to because our pack could outmuscle theirs. It doesn't work against a side that is bigger, stronger and more powerful than us like the warriors. We lost the physical battle decisively when we played them a few weeks ago at Kogarah and got flogged. And that was against a squad weaker than the one we will face on Saturday.

Hope the boys give it a red hot crack and make it respectable like last time. If they can do that, we can maintain some confidence going into the titans game next week which is probably the best chance for another win before the end of the year.

Battle of the packs will be a good one. If ours can match them, and I think we can, we have Kyle!

I'm not sure but was it the game where we were right in it until the last 1/4? If it's the game I am thinking of, the forwards more than held their own for 60 min but 1~7 had an especially bad day and the forwards understandably seemed to clock off in the last 20.

I don't think their forwards are bigger, stronger than ours. I'm biased but I'd say ours are younger, faster, just as big and powerful. Though their 2 edge backrowers are very good. In fact, for at least the first half I expect our forwards to take it to them. If the backs can't take advantage and let tries in at the other end, a bit much for the forwards to maintain the intensity for 80 min. In my view anyway.

2nd v 17th should be a close one. Just joking we are no chance, keeping the score respectful will be a good effort. The only thing that will beat the Warriors is being too complacent against the hot favourites to obtain the wooden spoon

Looking at the draw after that we are a good chance of winning 3 of those games against the Titans, Tigers and Eels and finishing with a grand total of 16 points. The wooden spoon is as good as ours.

I think our forwards can match almost any other team, our backs are the ones that need to perform.

I'm not saying I think we will win. But remember earlier in the year when everyone thought Penrith would put a cricket score on us? Yet, we were right in it for most of the game. Because for most of the game our forwards were better than their very highly fancied pack. I can see something similar happening here and if we are still in it with 15 min to go, anything can happen.

Broncos had lost a few games in a row without by far their 2 best players but both were back for their game against the Dragons. I bet a lot of people including me thought they might be looking to get back on track by putting a cricket score on the Dragons that day.
