Their coach has gotten them to improve steadily as the season has gone on. They probably won't finish second last. I almost wish our young pack would have a bad game because as is, the cost of re-signing the Couchmans is rapidly heading north. But I don't expect they will. If they outpoint Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, which I expect they will, it might add another 100k to their asking price. Our forwards vs their backs should make for a good contest.

I'll repeat that in my view, a good coach would be using our forwards to not only get in position to score, but score themselves much more than they do.

This won't be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination. We will of course tough it out and if we are to win again, this has to be one of the games to show the fans what the boys can be capable of in the future. Both us and the Titans have been a tad unlucky with 50/50 calls and as we have whinged harder about bunker decisions, hopefully it will pay dividends. But knowing our damn luck it will have the reverse affect.

It's a 50/50 game for me, we are playing a more gritty game than them currently.. and we are at home.. but they are pushing good teams and winning a lot of games themselves... and would only take a few missed tackles and their backline can punish us.

But apart from the Tigers or maybe Parra.. I mean this is as winnable as an NRL game gets.. the comp is as brutal as it's ever been..

Put Holmes onto the wing please, don't care if it's for Tu or Sloan. I wouldn't mind seeing a Suli/Holmes left edge tbh but not fussed. I liked Jacob and Stewart swapping positions for some attacking sets, hope it continues. Kerr has to go, play any of the youngsters instead.

I wonder if team selections will change now that Young has got the head coach gig, maybe try some combos for next year? Potentially something like Suli/Holmes on the left or even Gutho at centre with Holmes on the wing & someone else at fullback. Do we give significant mins to Jacob on the edge or even bring in a Webster and/or Nick T.

I heard the Couchies are very close to being signed soon Eric so the deal has been done. I watched the Titans game and they made a lot of mistakes especially Kini another Sloan clone there will be no Brimson and Manly were a rabble after losing TT. I think they are beatable as long as our backs do their job which I think in the last few games the are in patches. No more compulsory mistakes from TU plus we really got shafted in the warriors game by the usual suspects.

Yep, but if we're going to test it then better to do it in this crap season. Rather than jeopardising losses next season with experimental moves.

Gutho is contracted with us. Until he's not, he's part of the team. It would be silly to look into conspiracies of curating stories.

Maybe time for a camera to turn up to training and gutho to suddenly get a joey johns neck injury.
