We had the opportunity to take luck out of the equation and we failed to do so over the last 2 weeks

This x2 .......... they just couldn't do it ...... I'm really not disappointed because I knew it was coming ....... Been disappointed plenty of times in the last 7 years or so , but not anymore because I have had time to think with my head it my heart ...... What ever structures they have had at the club have failed for years that's why we are seeing these sort of players that are not up to first grade standard and not again I'll say it because it's been a big problem for years NOT MENTALLY TOUGH ENOUGH ............

My thoughts only but with this very dissapointing end to the season he may consider early retirement following his earlier comments about it getting tougher to keep playing. Or maybe I'm just being hopeful

Feagai's were the least of our problems yesterday. Didn't play really well but were ok. Busted some tackles, didn't miss any tackles as far as I can remember.

I was never a fan but was against letting him go early because of no replacement but I've come around to this way of thinking. If there is no replacement, need to go with a makeshift halfback until we have a replacement.

How about Jackson Hastings?

Even back in my days coaching and I've said it consistently that half the battle was to get the players and team mentally tough to go hand in hand with their fitness levels. Our current playing group just don't have that mental toughness and that goes hand in hand with the team culture and those experienced players who have played finals football encouraging and passing on their experiences to the younger less experienced players

I've had the unsavoury task of removing the captaincy from a player before . It is very rare. However for a myriad of reasons which in part would include loss of personal form, lack of leadership both on and off the field or loss of confidence. I talked to the cpt first then at the next team meeting would convey what had happened and who the new cpt would be. Tough gig, tough decisions but has to be done when required. I personally don't believe Hunt has had the full support of the playing group for sometime now.

We have Hunt for one more season.

Mores the pity. Thats why | asked him to walk on his own accord. NC printed a list of avail halves after Nov 1, have a crack at one of them for a season and piss off Hunt. Meanwhile go shopping for a long term replacement.

No truer words have been written. Mental stamina has to go hand in hand with fitness and discipline if you wanna compete at seasons end. For too long we have lacked all these attributes. And to top that when you do not have a cohesive haves combo to provide structure you are dead in the water.

He had plenty of shockers. A half is supposed to do more than kick short chips or bombs that can sometimes lead to tries as that is all he has offered us this season. His long kicking game has been moderate at best as with his running and his ball play is as ineffective as ever. A captain is supposed to provide leadership and inspire his players. I rest my case your honor.
