  20. Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga

  22. Setu Tu

  • Good chance for LKT. He needs to nail it because knowing Flanno's coaching for the past 2 and a bit years, he will only have one chance. Needs some help from his teammates as well. Obviously Cowboys forwards are going to run at him all game.
  • Nice Halangahu seems to have been promoted in front of Kerr but I'd have gone with LPT instead of Lawrie.
  • As for wingers, gee it'd be nice if we had someone like Savelio Tamale but alas.
  • I hope he starts with Hamish and Sele on the bench. Sele has been not much better than Kerr.
They will most definitely target LKT he has been a defensive liability so far in his 1sts career and I agree with LPT comment

Fale promotion is odd too, last week was probably his worst game, looked injured, hammy strapped and then picked up an ankle injured during the game.

Sloan scores a try and gets dropped for an average performance but CT has had 4 average performances in a row.

Flanno looked stressed in the box on Sunday and these selections are confusing, I'd say he is a coach without answers and time to go.

I think I'm pretty reasonable. I mean, I'm not a total idiot and can see both sides of some argument most of the time. But shortly before Griffin was sacked, his selections just confounded me. I couldn't see what his argument for those selections could possibly be. I'm getting the same vibe now.

I've been there albeit not at that level but in my work life we were trained to read a person's body language one reason was so we could ascertain if they were being truthful during interviews.

Im afraid his body language in the coaches box on Sunday appeared to be by a man who is bereft of any answers to a few problems. The weight of the world is on his shoulders and that was before his sin was knocked out.

We’re at the stage of Flanno’s tenure where there is no logical explanation for selections and it’s just a coach stressing and looking to do anything to get a win

Got a terrible feeling if we lose this week he’ll throw Reed into the halves which I’ve said for months would be a terrible idea at this stage of his career

Cowboys on paper look a genuinely good side and can score points for fun, with the way we’ve been attacking it’s hard to see how we win this game bar a few bits of individual brilliance from some players to jag us 4 or 5 tries

Interesting dilemma facing Flanno the next couple weeks with Kyle out. We lose the next 2 weeks he is probably gone. We win the next 2 does LKT stay in the side over Kyle? We will probably go 1 and 1 and he will keep his job and Kyle will come back in and nothing will change
I hate to say it, but I hope we lose on Saturday for our future. Just one more game should do it and then he is pushed out.
I thought his old stable tough approach would be the answer to our young guys, but it's not.
Sorry Flanno, time to take your money and retire.

Not according to the write up by Brent Reed in the DT indicating his position is secure for the foreseeable future

Agree he looked as though he was trying to sabotage the team even further. Looking like it here as well.

If it's not understanding his selections, I was at that stage with his first team list in 2024.

Flanno gameplan is not built for current rules. Adlib play and mobility in a side is rewarded now. For mine, it doesn't matter if we win the next 2 games because there's enough evidence now that he can't coach effectively in today's game.
Yes, of course. For me it's not about 0-4. It's about the fact that we have lost our last 2 games both against weak teams who played badly on the day. It's about the fact that he can't get the team to put together 2 good performances in a row. If I beleived in a coach and they lost 4 games, I wouldn't want them gone.

Bench positions mean nothing
Both Jake and Loko were above Kerr on bench last week and neither got use but Kerr did.
100%. Jersey numbers mean Fark all with this coach. I know you can only play what’s in front of you as the game goes on and sometimes things out of the ordinary happen which blows up your bench plans. But for the life of me, if Jacob and Loko both miss out again then I give up

He’s done mate, we both know that. The continual picking of certain players and not giving some others a crack has killed him. A few are protected yet the continual refusal to play a few of our future stars has cut his throat. There’s no coming back from this. Game over for Shane

If a coach cannot win many, many games like 15 in a year consistently, why employ him? Flanno just doesn't have it in him to get those 15 games, no way. Even if he does get us in the top 8 next year, that's if he is with us, there is just no guarantee that we would even improve on that with Flanno.

Need change for the better with someone who can do what we have been dying to see for yonks and that is win, win, win.

But according to veteran News Corp journalist Andrew Webster, discussions about Flanagan's place as coach will start if the Dragons don't return to winning ways.

"They have extended him out to bring stability, particularly around recruitment - but that's only gonna go so far if you're not winning games," Webster said on the Offload podcast.

"If they're not going well by Anzac Day and they don't perform in that match, that's always a drama at the club. If they don't get at least one win out of those three matches heading into the Roosters match, then Dragons management are gonna have to have some pretty tough conversations with Shane Flanagan.

"Having spoken to people at the club - that's definitely at play."

I know I sound like an absolute negative Nelly but I just can’t see it. Cows will be too quick for us this week, Dearden will have a field day like he usually does. Manly?? We tend to do well against them especially down at the go gong. Possible. Souths: Zero chance. Then Anzac Day. Dear o dear where in massive strife and could potentially be 0-8
