He was one of those probably thrown into first grade a bit too soon. Right from the start you could see he had talent but lacked physicality. He's about the same size as JAC now. If he had started later, after he had packed on the KGs he might have had more confidence to take on the line and make his tackles.

Water under the bridge now. I just hope he can help us get another win this year.

Hmm. He's 24 and about to spend the next few years in Europe. What an opportunity. Good luck to him. The only back in the team who currently could out-pace the opposition and score a long range try. I understand the necessary cleanout but it's starting to look like the last one standing needs to turn the lights out and lock the door.

All the best Tyrell. You now know where you are headed next year so that is something to really look forward to; and for the rest of this year kill it for the Dragons so that we have fond memories of you and that you might slot back in at the RedV in a couple of years time.

Heard that Tyrell was hoping to get re-signed by the Dragons - Young was keen but not management. Gus Gould showed plenty of interest and he had an interview with Gus and Ciraldo but his gut feeling wasn't for the Dogs and the place felt weird. So he had no choice but to sign up with the Castleford Tigers and play under Ryan Carr and alongside Ravalawa and Cook and has been told that he will have the full-time fullback spot. The one thing that he will miss most of all was not being coached by Dean Young. He reckons Dean is great with the guys - much better than Hook and Flanno and the players are eager and happy to be playing under Deano - very understanding and keeping things simple but with good structures and guidelines. Tyrell reckons that next year the Club will do really well with the new signings.

He is happy with his new deal and will be going over to the Super League with his partner and two dogs.
