After holding a winning lead we let them score two late ones to even the scores. Points are shared. Shane Millard will not be happy that we were unable to ice the game.

Jesse Williams showed that after being chased and wrapped up after scooping up that dropped ball that he does not have wings otherwise he'd have scored. This has been a seesawing thriller, with firstly us having the ascendancy then they regain it, then rinse and repeat.

I think Williams hit the lactic wall in his sprint probably because he has been a bit underdone in the type of training that works on sustaining speed in a sprint. it is pretty clear that he has genuine speed.

That was the first game Williams has played in forever,, so yah im sure match fitness... but he doesnt need to be the quickest ever.. its enough to close most situations... but obviously the ranga fullback Deininger is quicker.. Williams probably has 15kg more size also..

I would like to see Williams do some off season sprint training with Roger Fabri or whoever - think that was the plan last year before he was injured? I think it would help a lot. Sprint training is very specific and if you have a good base to work with you can really help all facets from start to top speed maintenance.

I will re-watch his run but it looked like he did get hit by lactic and that really slows you down.

Quick hands by Ilias puts Lawson in the clear to give us back the commanding lead we had lost as the clock winds down. Game over and the Dragons now jump into clear second only three pts behind ladder leaders the Warriors. But they have played one extra game than us.
