Seems like nepotism. I don't know all the details but they way you explain it, I'd say it's definitely nepotism.Ok ill give you my personal experiences in Nepotism.
Work profession I was applying for a promotion. I was the best applicant on paper having served in that position for 12 months previously. However I did not get the job. Later I discovered 1 of the 3 panel members was related to the successful applicant.
As above though a bit harder to say for sure. Maybe the applicant was a young coach who had big wraps on him. Wasn't Nathan Brown, was it?Coaching I applied for the coaching position. Once again I had served my time in the lower grades. Once again I missed out on the job. I was later told that the successful applicant was related to the club president.
Well, straight away I'd say in my opinion Ilias is better than KF but I understand that's an opinion. Wasn't Bud Sullivan let go after KF was signed? He was definitely rejected even with Tigers willing to pay a very large % of his contract. If KF wasn't in the top 30 and on the money he is one who knows who might have come or might be getting a chance. Souths halfback who I think is injured now was going well after being plucked out of Manly reserve grade. So how is Flanagan in his current position stopping a better applicant for the 7 jersey from obtaining that jersey? Who is better credentialled to wear the 7 jersey? In my view nobody. So it simply cannot be Nepotism because nobody who is better qualified is being stopped.
Senior Constable, if Shane Flanagan wasn't appointed head coach, do you think Kyle would have been offered a contract with the Dragons? I'll need the witness to answer that before resting my case.I rest my case your honour
