Raiders may not sign up Sione Finau -

"Raiders coach Ricky Stuart confirmed the ladder leaders are considering backing out of talks with young Dragons winger Sione Finau after his management leaked details of their visit to Canberra HQ to Sydney media.
Stuart told The Canberra Times that what was “meant to be a private meeting” was leaked by Finau’s management, adding that his deal with the club is “at risk” as a result.
“I just don’t feel comfortable with it,” Stuart added.

“He’s a real nice young bloke. I feel sorry for him.”

The Raiders coach is reportedly looking to strengthen the club’s outside back stocks given Canberra is without Albert Hopoate (knee), Savelio Tamale (knee) and Sebastian Kris (concussion) at the moment.

Finau himself is out injured after dislocating his shoulder in last week’s loss to the Bulldogs and has played just three full games this year for the Dragons.

Finau is off-contract at the end of the year."

I would sign him 100 percent , fast strong not many would have scored that try ....... I believe he will turn out to be the best winger at the club if he stays , if not another player that will haunt us later .......

If we had Sloan and Finau on our wings I'd be happy. the only caveat to that is Sloan would have to dramatically improve his defense.

Good point Jd, but I did say only a few pre final games. Dont ya think it is important that club bosses see how these kids handle the step up.

Yeah I do RVH but I always worry about juniors coming into a side under pressure and expected to magically make the team get a win. Look at the Panthers always introduce a junior into their side and its seamless. Look at the way we brought in Amone Sullivan and Sloan, huge expectations on them and look what happened.
