I believe our fortunes are about to change in relation to attracting top players to the club. In addition to building a more professional front office team, the new high-performance centre at the University of Wollongong is due to open next year. This centre will provide the Dragons players with the best training facilities in the country, plus the partnership with UOW will also provide a higher standard of sports science, health and educational services than can be offered by any other club.

COE will be great & further incentive for players to be living in the Gong which can only be beneficial for our team. Less travel, better access to facilities & more togetherness imo.

Perth Bears have offered him 7.5m over five seasons. I reckon he'll knock back that so we have no chance even if we match their offer. He'll honor his 10 yr Titans contract mostly because he wont be separated from his family who all live within close driving distance of the Gold Coast. Family is paramount to Polynesians.

7.5 mil is probably enough to buy an air ticket and Air B&B room for a few days.

Didnt feel like we were ever in the hunt for Mooney.. still no idea how were gonna replace Jack.. wonder if Anderson was on board when we let him go.

The Tino one feels like a bit of a pipe dream.. definitely need a Plan B, C, D, E & F.. not to mention Tino is 2027.

1 sentence in the paper about rorters trying to back out of DCE's deal.. maybe keep him on in a coaching role instead of as a player.. not sure if there is any way we might still be the solution to that problem.. but I dont see how we could be a solution when theyve gone and promised him a roosters coaching gig.. thats a pretty big carrot.

I'm surprised he would commit to the club without knowing who is the future coach, especially after languishing in reserve grade. There's no real incentive for him to commit unless the offer is ridiculously good. Anyway we've been down this path recently with Douehi, rumours were he committed to us which were wrong. I'll wait until something official is announced...

Losing Thompson/KPP and Hastings frees up a fair bit of coin. Cogger leaving too

They’ll be really pushing it even with those guys gone to fit him in though. I suspect you’ll see a few more outgoings

Rumours do get your hopes up one way or another but I am just gonna stick to the written words of any signings in our website. That's when we can rejoice or renounce who we get.

They relented on Gagai offering him significantly more than they wanted to pay him. Then 2 of 3 highest paid players according to info I've seen. Brown highest paid, Nathan Cleary 2nd and Ponga 3rd.

If Dragons can't outbid them, I can only guess Anderson and/or Flanno are only lukewarm on his ability. Not a priority. Is it confirmed there is any interest at all?

I assume we have someone else in mind, I just cant for the life of me work out who it is.. Uele is 1 guy, but im not sure hes an upgrade over Jack.. dunno who else is really out there.. maybe Kamikamica but hes not not rly better either.. I have a feeling were gonna be going in short next year and maybe holding a spot open again.

Klemmer is the other one they need to make a call on, cause seems like he already has a Manly offer on the table.

Might be someone in England. Must have a plan otherwise the de Belin non extension would be extraordinarily incompetent.

If they end up paying Kamikamica’s 600k asking price over Mooney signing or extending JDB for half the price then that is very confusing

But we should let everything play out and make a judgement after the preseason when everything’s set up and sorted for 2026

Talking to my mate up here who is involved administratively with the Titans that a few other contracted players want out as well. Mentioned their winger Khan- Pereiera . I watched him play a few times up here has speed to burn and dangerous with ball in hand and a good finisher, may be worth a look

I wonder if it has something to do with events other than what JDB does on the field. He must also be the last of the infamous BBQ crew.

If it does (have something to do with off the field behavior) it shouldn't. He was punished for the BBQ and the whole club was punished in spades for other things which he was innocent of.

Disappointing he wasn't re-signed. Very disappointing. He's been the best forward again this year. As he has been every year he has played for a long time.
