Looks like the signing of the 27 year-old Warriors reserve grade winger is happening. Why haven't we been able to produce good wingers for such a long time? Remember when Josh Morris was forced out cause we had too many wingers?

We have produced good wingers, we just have undervalued them and thus other clubs have swooped in and reaped the rewards
Bostock/Tamale/Garrick all had junior rep honours at the time they were contracted with us and they ended up playing a combined 1 game for the NRL side
Shameful stuff, hopefully the same thing doesn’t happen with Charlie Heidke who looks to be in that top tier

1000% I know im a Charlie fanboi, but I must be seeing something completely different to the club.. he would have been my first grade cover for Suli in a heartbeat.. and if he wanted to stick with Nick.. certainly I'm giving him a wing position.. how many outside back injuries did we have... and definitely he needs a contract for this year, dev at the least.... hes the one.. only thing that will stop him are injuries.. I know Buchanan is in front.. but we need to accelerate Charlie, he is atleast 2 tiers above Hayden.
We seem to struggle to identify the outside backs.. still havent moved on from Bostock either, hate having his sister here but everyone talking about Jack as a dolphin.. and now he has extended too... so no chance of a reunion.

Also Keaon would be 29 in May 2027, a few months after he gets here.. probably only got 2-3 rly good years in him... be so good to get him early.. but just not sure if thats realistic..

(cant see either coming early.. but you never know) - Brent Read said Keaon is on a lot more than people realise, hes already got 1mil+, so if we are going to woo him.. this gives you an idea we would need to be spending minimum 1.2m.. minimum.. more than we offered AFB (which we also missed).
- Read also said Parra have gone in big for Keaon.. thats not good.. parra are winning a lot of players in recent times.. makes us an even harder sell.
- Bears also after 1 of em.. I think they are mostly after Henry.. hes 3yrs younger.. but no doubt like us I reckon they are having a crack at both.

You are right. I forgot about them. It seems incredible we let all 3 of them go when you think about how bad our wingers have been for a while.
it’s a real shame because all 3 of them walk into our side now. their speed and athleticism is what we need. so we sign a 27 year old reserve grader

Predictable. Dragons have to find our big guns within and then recruit big guns from the outside when we are a force to be reckoned with again.

My thoughts exactly Rev, NFL have got it so spot on with the draft system
No third party BS, you go where your drafted and your on a rookie contract for the first 4 seasons of your career
There’s too much of an imbalance when the talent distribution gets so uneven and clubs with huge resources can just stockpile talent/incredible coaching staffs etc.
Draft well and get the right coach and a bottom of the league organisation can turn itself around in 12 months

From an old coach perspective, what do I need to have a competitive top 8 team, from what I had last season. Im no 1st grade premiership winning coach but this is my wish list.
1. An alpha prop
2. A game manager
3. An enforcer in my pack
4. More speed in my backline
Simple, we tick off this list we can make the semi finals in 26. If not get ready for another long season of ups and downs and inconsistent performances.

When is our CEO gonna announce our new Top 30 recruits or are they merely rumors, such as Nick Quinn. Only players I know as certainties are Josh Kerr and Daniel Atkinson, whacky do if they are our only recruits for this season. Does anyone know who else is coming here?

How many years have we been calling for this wish list mate. I'd settle for only the pack enforcer as we'll never entice an alpha/elite/marquee player, not until we start making finals.

Is that in order? Apart from one prop because Lawrie and Sele won't be extended, don't think we need another forward. So I'd go:
- A game manager.
- More speed in the backs.
- An alpha prop.
