We need a fullback and a center for 2028 when Gutherson and Holmes are done. That means either bringing on juniors to take their places, acquiring some unknowns, or hoping that some established players in those positions becomes available to negotiate on Nov 1st 2026. I cannot see any top class juniors stepping up in that time frame (happy to be corrected) so this is something DA will have to sort out in the next 12 months.

Centres Buchanan and Heidke. Fullback Burton. I think That will make Burton 19. Young for first grade but hardly unheard of.

Tyler Peckham Harris is another shout for fullback I would love him with a full season at fullback in NSW cup first

Doubts are being cast as to whether the Rugby 360 competition will actually get off the ground. If not, maybe Dragons can sign Zac Lomax. For about half what he was making a bit over a year ago.

Doubts are being cast as to whether the Rugby 360 competition will actually get off the ground. If not, maybe Dragons can sign Zac Lomax. For about half what he was making a bit over a year ago.

His height will definitely taunt his career but he guts about him he got thrown in centre in acouple of games in cup and held is earn defensively, I can see him moulding into a player like Kini but that’s my imo

I believe the NRL should allow every team 2 marquee players off the salary cap, and the rest are part of the existing salary cap but with no third party intervention, this way we keep R360 and their like away and each team has 2 supa dupa players for the fans to enjoy equally.

dont rly understand the 2027 year, but I spose hes potentially replacing guys like Lawson, CT, Feagai, with someone else to replace Sloan I suspect.

Maybe they r thinking they can retrain him this year, but at 27 I would have thought most of that stuff was locked in.

I’d have rathered they just sign AKP from the titans (yes I know he’s at the warriors now) because he’s still young and scored a shitload of tries for a terrible team. Basically a Sloan 2.0 but not afraid of the high ball and on a fraction of the money

I think it will go ahead. Unless they do a deal. It is being financed by Saudi Arabia. They will already have paid Zac something upfront to sign….Bit of a mercenary isn’t he ? The only thing stopping mass union signings is the rugby World Cup. After that the whole Welsh team will sign…

why sign AKP when he can sign the bloke the warriors are getting rid of for AKP.

I mean if the Taualagi rumours are right.. no complaints about the quality of our wing purchase (very much an 'if' still).. with Tu just as our depth backup and hope he steps up with opportunity.. meanwhile Williams or Kirk are close.. Fale might have a wing spot locked.. and if Heidke isnt a 1st grade outside back within 12mths (injuries willing), I'll give it away
