Recruitment and Retention for 2026

So we’re giving him close to 1.1m? Bit of an overkill if true, he’s a good player but not elite like Tino, Haas and AFB
I did mention earlier in this thread $1.1m over 5 yrs would be the going rate if we, and more importantly he was serious.

Is it overs for a prop? Probably, but just like 7s there is a distinct lack of genuine go forward bookends currently on the market. Add to that he hasn't reached his prime.

Personally I'd buy him, this will be the litmus test in indicating whether the player managers have changed their tune towards having their clients come to us.

It's only Facebook stuff believe it or not
I just heard from a very good source that we got Keon. Offered his 5yrs against Parramattas 3yrs.

Now just have to secure S’ua or we’ll be doing a swap with South’s.

His output as a middle forward the last 2 years is outrageous

If he’s signing for that position then I can totally get on board with the signing.

I think they’ll need to manage minutes though. 55 mins a game instead of 70 otherwise the last 2 years of that 5 year deal could be Taumalolo-esque

When u list the names in the forward pack with him mixed in it starts to look really exciting

Dave03 raised a very good point. KK does consider himself as a wide runner. Bennett agreed when he returned and told him at the start he would play wide. He only went back in the middle when all else failed. l hope he doesn't play games later... but he doesn't seem that sort of player. He reminds me of a Roy Asotasi like player and when he left Berries to go to souffs they built their rebuild around him. KK seems like a bloke you would follow. And if he was paid big l think he would play big.

The most important thing right now is that people don't lose it if he doesn't sign. I don't think the 5 years is that big a deal rather than 2 or 3 years. 4 years probably isn't good for him because it might be a year too early to retire or go to the ESL but a year too late to get another good money deal in the NRL.
