If Melbourne are after and will probably get Lomax, but they are refusing to swap him for Coats or Howarth, does that mean Warbrick is on the outer? Or Bellamy thinks he's going to succeed where others have failed and turn Lomax into a good centre?
It will be a great challenge for Bellamy. If he succeeds in turning Lomax into a top‑class centre or more challenging a top-class fullback, it will strengthen his standing as a super coach. Although I am happy that Lomax has moved on from the Dragons, I am still looking forward to seeing how he develops within the Melbourne system.

I would have liked to have seen us give Lomax a genuine crack at playing fullback while playing for us. I am not sure if he would have succeeded. He is certainly good under the high ball. He would be good for returning the ball. He is very good at taking hit ups, like a lot of the good fullbacks do, such as Tedesco, Turbo, Edwards and others. He also would a decent last line of defence. The only 2 attributes I can think of that I am uncertain of, are would he have the passing game for the modern day fullback and was/is he quick enough over 10 to 20 metres? If I was Bellamy and he signs with them, I would be giving him a crack at fullback. He is one of the best wingers in the comp. Before he played first grade I remember saying he was either the best centre or best outside to back come through our juniors since Mark Gasnier and said he would play origin. There was a poster on the other forum who loved Aitken and who said he would play origin. I would debate with him about Lomax being a future origin player and that Aitken wasn't even a first grade centre. After Aitken left Saints, so did the Aitken fan poster.

After writing all that. I am now thinking we really should have given him a crack at fullback after Dufty left. He may even be the fullback we should sign right now. Maybe if Flanno offered him a crack at fullback, he may return. I don't see it happening. Flanno sounds like he isn't interested in bringing Lomax home again.

I’m starting to think R360 was a smoke screen for Lomax to go to Melbourne this whole time.
I doubt it. Lomax stood to earn "big money" from the R360 deal and probably bigger money than anyone in the NRL is on and also much bigger money than any NRL winger makes

I also don't know how well Lomax reads the play, or whether his decision‑making would consistently put him in the right parts of the field at critical moments.

I really cant see what argument Lomax has, you signed on the dotted line pal and if anything the Dragons should have hung your arse out to dry as well. All I can say is I'm so happy Lomax is not at the Dragons, thank F$#K
He might have some personal issues. Seems like a good bloke. Was on hand to support Ramsey when he came back for example.

If he turns Lomax into a top class centre, that won't reflect well on Griffin, Flanno or Ryles.
