Charity Shield 2026 Thread

I like the way he's developing, late in the game he hit and spun then offloaded, he will be a starting prop come 2027 in my humble views
I think Koloamatangi and Toby will be our starting props in 2027 and Pasifiki Tonga will be a great impact prop off the bench. But we could also start with Koloamatangi and Pasifiki Tonga and then bring Toby off the bench to play the rest of the game.

It would appear St Benny has decided not to run with a strong squad ala us last week. Their halves are both ex Dragons, Ward/Glover.

It would surprise me if any of our starters play more than 1 half of footy with LV in mind.

Still it would be disappointing if we didn't bring home the shield and lock it away in the trophy room on Saturday night.

My view if all those current forwards we have stick with us beyond 27/28 and remain injury free that group of players in the engine room will take us a very long way.

Everyone of them are impressive in their own way with a few being able to play multiple positions in the engine room.

Add to that from next season the youngsters being guided and advised by an Australian and SOO player Kaloamatangi, well all the ingredients are there for a successful team.

looks like heidke will play the cup trial.
Will not play. I'd have had him ahead of Buchanan but seems Buck is the coaching staffs golden boy.

Also looks like they want Luch to stay on the edge and Sele to start season at lock. Jeez I know he is now in the enemy camp but am already regretting not having Jack and the inspiration and impact he gave us every week. Sele dont do it for me, even tho he certainly does not lack intent.

Buchanan isn't any kind of golden boy. He's a very good centre. Heidke might turn out even better but that in no way would take away from Buchanan's ability. I would have both of them next in line after Suli and Holmes.

This video shows how much Atkinson talks on the field. A good insight as to how the boys train as well. I think in the last images I saw Liddle training - could someone concur?

He's certainly confident. That's good. He will back himself. Which we want.
