Unless it was something specific that Loko has failed to meet to go to Vegas, i think its a poor decision, not to compare ourselves to the Dogs, but they have taken a shitload of support staff and players that are injured over to keep the team harmony and culture, my understanding is that the NRL pay for 40 players/staff to attend the rest is up to the club, i think the dogs have gone over with either 62 or 82 people, i can't understand why we didnt take Loko and NickT..

Dogs probs view this trip as a potential recruitment tool to show they go above & beyond for players & staff. It's probably seen as an investment in their eyes or that's how it's been sold to the financial backers imo.

Dogs on & off field are making great decisions, transformation is astounding. Yes, I'm jealous and yes I wish they were still a basket case. I hope we get more $$$ investment from our backers in the future.

NRL pay for around 30, i think Dogs numbers are more like, 45 with them going over on staggered days.

Yeah i keep reading closer to 80, Fox now reporting 90, either way unless there is something not reported re LPT, still think he should have gone.

Yep the Dogs players are really being pampered over there . So the club reached into their pocket or most probably their sponsors pockets so they could go to an Eagles concert on the weekend, cost suggests over $20k. They have been openly tauted as being the only team playing this season in LV who have any chance of playing semi-finals footy this season

Unfortunately it seems our capitalist major sponsors and part owner Bruce Gordon or Bruce Wayne or Batman or whatever TF he calls himself are very tight. It's purely business and they aren't in the business of spending a $ more than neccessary. How it appears anyway. LPT might be getting punished for something.

OK lets put a few things into perspective here, firstly situation 1, LPT who is practically a nobody is told to do whatever and doesn't conform. Result is stay at home buddy and watch it on TV. This is the assumption of course, but one would suspect if they took Egan who is not playing they could have taken LPT.
OK so now instead of LPT taking on board what he needs to do, he looks over at the Dogs maybe influenced by his mate Latu and starts writing shit on social media, as said , starts to agitate and the current players attack him(has that smell of Galvin about it). If this is the case Mr LPT then be on your bike son, take your toys and take your cot and f$#k off.

Situation 2 who cares how many people the Dogs take there, we are never going to compete with them. We are not there for a holiday, all the players get paid more than enough to book a grand holiday in the off season if they want. We are on a world stage here, this better not be a shit show full of embarrassment, so I agree get your f$#king game faces on, win the game and come home. Celebrate at the end of the season by giving your loyal suffering supporters a taste of finals footy .

The only one I feel sorry for is Nick T, but who knows what he did or didn't do !!!

I'm probably way too aggressive in pushing for young players to be promoted to the NRL but that being said, isn't Flanno far too conservative? Then there is the double standards. Kyle can play any number of poor games but Finau in the one chance he had wasn't even that bad but was banished to NSW Cup regardless. That was after playing very well in the trials. Tamale didn't even get a chance until after Canberra signed him.

I know he promoted a whole stack of young players last year but it was mostly because of injuries and no other option.

He had a blinder. Some of his finishing was top shelf, almost magical the one where he pulled in a wayward Val pass at top speed. WE were all saying he is a cert to be our wing for the season. But like I have said in the past he was not one of 'Flanagans boys' so back to Ressies and then the inevitable heave ho. Wonder had we had Atkinson whether Finau, Latu, Lomax etc were still in for the hi jump.

Not knowing what has agitated LPT, it would appear though that with his exclusion from the squad going to Vegas, there is something amiss. I certainly thought that if LPT was injury free, he would be in Vegas now with the other boys all getting acclimatised with the conditions and atmosphere surrounding the lead up to the conquest of getting on top of the much hyped Bulldogs on Saturday night (local Las Vegas time).

Whatever the reason or reasons LPT missed out and his now rebuttal of his position at the Dragons raises the question as to why do we seem to have this problem each year for the past 4-5 years? Who is at fault - is it the coach for not giving sound reasons for his exclusion or the player for not accepting the decision? It would have been a great disappointment to LPT missing out which is understandable, but not knowing the full dramas, I cannot conclude why.

I'm really not sure what all this speculation is about I must have missed something. Just looked at his Insta account and the "You reap what you sow" photos are showing him in a dragons jersey and working hard in training. Isn't this just standard "I'm working hard and I'll get the benefits down the line" type stuff?
It's been liked by over 2000 including the official dragons account. However the comment section has been disabled, so does anyone know what comments have apparently caused all the fuss because the post itself looks harmless to me.

I can see your point but you can’t include Hunt or Lomax in that list. The club bent over backwards for those Two. Hunt basically held the club to ransom and Lomax well ask yourself why he is going to court. How about Molo ? Its not my default but at some stage or another you have to take accountability for your own actions something which I think these days players find hard to do.

Mug I do understand what you are saying. But What is the club supposed to do sack Flanno in order to satisfy everyone. The Club has to back him or they believe in what he is doing. Either that or why extend him. Dont get me wrong illl be the first to rocket the club or Flanno and I haven’t been an advocate for some of the things he does. Where do we stand ?
