We try hard grind away with one one hit ups and hope we have at least two plays to go to then try and attack when in their quarter , but most of the time we are kicking on half way on the 5th so basically no attack ...... No genuine game breaker in the team that puts the opposition in two minds ....... To predictable ........ Sorry guys if nothing changes ( and I don't know how it will ) It's going to be a long season ........

If you watched the Leeds game their goal kicking and touchfinders were excellent.

I'm afraid Kyle gets around 15 -20 metres, we should get at least 20 metres to 40 metres for touch finders.

And Val missed his conversion like the first few rounds of last year and it made a difference, it all adds up in these close games.

Hopefully Atkinson will rediscover his running game during the season as he grows in confidence and gains time in 1sts.

Here is the verdict.
Forwards were good baring Kerr. But if they play like that for the whole season, it's going to end up a walking orthopaedic ward. Did the coach tell Couchmans to put the offload away? It looked like they were in position to do it but pulled back a few times.

Exactly as I said about signing Gutherson being a big mistake when I was denounced from pillar to post for it. He gets through a lot of work but offers very little in attack. Would the team be better if he didn't do so much work in the form of runs? Couchmans have huge motors and are more effective taking hit ups.

KF, you gotta laugh or you'll cry. He should step down. He knows he is only in the team because of his dad. How are they gonna look each other in the eye when the dad is sacked and KF is immediately dropped?

Atkinson was as good as can be expected. First game starting as a halfback on a big stage. Partnered with KF.

Holmes had an uncharacteristic bad game. Didn't trouble them with the ball and missed a few tackles.

Wingers were ok. Had to go looking for the ball becsause it very rarely ventured out their way.

Suli was typical. A few good runs to make up for a few bad attempted tackles. Really need more from a centre but it might be on the coach and the #6 today, #7 last year, #6 the year before that doens't do any favours for those outside him.

Coach probably needs to be sacked sooner rather than later unless that game plan was just an abberation for the narrower field.

We did not see much attack thanks to Grant Atkins. But I hope with Ennis as the attacking coach we will show more initiative in attack.

The bombs were mainly defensive from the grubs into the corner. That’s why you shift the ball and throw some long passes even on the first tackle. There is some risk but you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs.

They also throw a lot of late offloads so you have to stop this.

I thought we played great considering the procession we had.

But G Atkins hang your head in shame. You are hopeless…

Kerr does his best work in the attacking quarter where we never were … came on in the last 15 of the first half when we were just getting rissoled o er and over by atkins

Also Kerr replaced klemmer not JDB … if JDB plays then Ryan wouldn’t and tge team would be worse for it

You know personally with a bloke that size, my instructions would be stand on the back fence take the first hitup after kick off and bending the defensive line show some mongrel.

Didn't see too much of that today. Mind you 25 min only 3 hit ups for 27m long way to go for such little return, not good enough.

Someone needs to check his bank account or at the very least call the coppers to do a character test on him. Some of those decisions were atrocious today.
