It doesn't but I don't think it was that serious. Though would be a handy off ramp for the both of them. Flanno can't drop him not only because of his favouritism but because he will be seen as being wrong all this time and questions will be asked why it has taken him this long.

I'm not a legal expert but it seems very subjective. Unlikely to hold up in court. Flanno can just say he was putting together and picking the best he had that was available.

I know there is this general feeling that halfback and 5/8 are interchangeable words and related to what side of the paddock they plonk themselves on ...
But it is still a lot more than that ... Esp relating to the forward play in the middle third.

Hughes/Munster is so obvious in the actual roles they play and the types of touches they get.

We are full of players closer to being 5/8s than halfbacks ... thinking we can replace kyle at 6 with another 6 and see sudden improvement fails to address the biggest flaw we have had for years ... that game managing halfback ... Noel/Matt Head even Hornby for his lack of vision and ability to play what was in front of him knew plenty about getting the ball into the hands of the right people.

Atkinson may want to be that man but he isnt ... This crap from Riccio about Atkinson wanting to be a fulltime half, i expect that is more likely wanting to be a full time NRL player in the halves (not necessarily halfback though) ... he has enough skills in some areas of his game to be effective if partnered with a manager. He currently isnt.

Reed looks so promising for us - just getting him there is going to take time that is going to hurt waiting through.

Atkinson is not a half back. I'd have Tanah Boyd any day of the week than Atkinson at half back. Flanno jumped the gun signing Atkinson. He just doesn't cut the mustard with me and if he is better in the 5/8th position then play him there not in a position that he has to learn in every game. He needs to play naturally and that is at 5/8th. I mention Tanah Boyd because he is still only a fill in at the Warriors at half back until Chanel Harris-Tavita comes back from injury and Boyd comes off contract at the end of 2026.

Yes Reed is there but not yet and maybe not even in 2027.

That's why i am kind of annoyed that ONeill is busted ... and yes .. i know he isnt a long term 7 ... he might give you what Madden gave the tigers though on the weekend .. a semi competent 7 with a clue on game management beats any of kyle/atkinson/nuffo/LKT masquerading in the halves with a 7 on the back

Neither actually a reason that we lost games and neither playing particularly poorly ...


Players that could/should have been dropped on form .... Gutho/CT/Kyle would be the top 3 then add in Guler/Kerr ....

Good out of the box idea but Roosters haven't been going very well either. I'd like Brad Arthur for 3 years but not extended unless he is in demand and he will only be in demand if he's doing a good job.

I understand Flanno was extended even if it's looks stupid now. I didn't think they would be anywhere near this bad.

We cannot have a person who is up to his eyeballs in the current garbage take over, even as an interim. DY has shown over the last couple of years that he cannot do his role properly let alone take over as the interim. He definitely needs to get the arse

Good defender but that's about it. Manly have sacked Seibold out of the blue. Not saying that is on the cards here but results on the field counts for a great deal as a 1sts coach.

Last year he avg 22.5 tackles per game and missed 2 per game. I can live with that bearing in mind he was playing 7 and being targeted by much bigger forwards.
