Didn’t think he was eligible as he’s not on an nrl contract unless Souths apply due to injuries. But they surely don’t have enough to warrant this.
NRL has been extremely lenient with this lately. Ward isn’t in their top 30 and was able to play despite Bud on the bench. Tavana was allowed to play as well even tho the Tigers had a stack of other OB’s available

If Flanno isn't sacked, which it how it is looking, I suspect good ol Wayne will play a cagey game. He'll want to seal the win ASAP but he'll want to keep it as close as possible. He'll want Flanno to stay on as long as possible because he's a professional and wants to do everything he can to sabotage a rival club.
Though he won't be as moronic as Rickey Stuart and come right out and talk about how good KF is and how unfair criticism of him is. That is just way too flagrant. Possibly even Craig Young and Batman Gordon could see through that farce. Though Wayne might say something more subtle like, "We see from the full-time score they aren't far off."
