Vegas-bound Indie Bostock granted shock early release from Dragons NRLW deal​

Rising NRLW star Indie Bostock has been granted a release from her Dragons contract on compassionate grounds just days before she will board a flight to Vegas with a team of aspiring stars.​

It’s a big move for Bostock, who was granted a release just this week on compassionate grounds despite the Dragons’ fight to keep her.

The 19-year-old made her NRLW debut with the Dragons last season after being developed through the club’s junior grades, but unexpectedly asked for a release at the end of last year.

“The Dragons can confirm Indie Bostock has requested a release from the remainder of her NRLW playing contract on compassionate grounds,” the club said in a statement.

“The club has granted that request and wishes Indie all the best in her future endeavours.”

It could open the door for a move to Queensland closer to her partner, Dolphins winger Tevita Naufahu.

Her brother Jack Bostock also plays with the Dolphins.
I was hoping she could lure Jack or her BF to the Dragons. So much for that.

I can barely contain my frustration any longer.

Women are seemingly being used as bargaining chips outside of the salary cap to boost a clubs chances of keeping/attracting men to the clubs.

Always had a feeling that she would head up north, like most was hoping that he would sign for us and then Jack eventually found his way back as well..
Surprised its still not on Dragons website, considering how fast they're at putting up who we sign etc..

i posted weeks ago she was tracking a Phins player and now this. Why doesnt the phins player leave. You are f&$king kidding me. So first it was Shipton then Bostock and probanly Berry. Are we still blaming Soward or what. F&$k we are a soft touch. Disgraceful

The Dragons are thrilled to announce that Shenae Ciesiolka has agreed to join the club on a four-year deal, effective immediately.

The deal will see the 28-year-old contracted with the club until at least the end of the 2029 season.

Ciesiolka, who has spent the past six seasons with Brisbane, is an 11-time Queensland and three-time Australian representative.


Also a premiership winner with the Broncos in 2020 and 2025, Ciesiolka comes to the club boasting one of the sport’s more impressive resumés.

“It is massive for us to add Shenae to our squad,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.

“She’s accomplished a lot in this game and will add another dimension to our backline. I think she will be a huge addition for us on and off the field; her leadership and personality will mix in with our squad really well. We’re on an exciting journey here at the Dragons and it’s great to know Shenae will be a part of it.”

The Dragons are thrilled to announce that Kiwi Ferns star Alexis Tauaneai has agreed to a deal which will see her return to the club in 2027.

The Dragons are thrilled to announce that Kiwi Ferns star Alexis Tauaneai has agreed to a deal which will see her return to the club in 2027.
The deal sees the 21-year-old return to the club she debuted at until at least the end of the 2028 season.
The move will also see Tauaneai reunite with younger sisters Trinity – who last year took home the club’s NRLW Emerging Talent Award – and Paige – who again finds herself on a development deal.

A native of Wainuiomata – a suburb of Lower Hutt on New Zealand’s North Island – Tauaneai made her NRLW debut for the Dragons in Round 1, 2023 and spent two seasons with the club taking home the side’s NRLW Player of the Year Award in 2024.
She made her international debut for New Zealand in their Pacific Championships campaign at the end of 2024 and has grown into a mainstay of the side having appeared in six Tests over the past two years.
She linked up with the Bulldogs for their inaugural season in 2025 and continued her ascension as one of the sport’s best forwards averaging 170 run metres and making 235 total tackles at close to 92 per cent efficiency in eight matches.
“We’re ecstatic to be bringing Lex back to the club,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.
“She has developed into one of the best forwards in the competition and has so much footy still in front of her. She adds a different dynamic to our team with her athleticism, work-rate, and leadership qualities. She fits the mould of what we are looking in for a player. She’s as good a person off the field as she is a player on it and we’re so excited to be welcoming her back to the Dragons.”

The Dragons are excited to announce that Kiwi Ferns star Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa has agreed to a deal which will bring her back to the club in 2027.

Teakaraanga-Katoa proved a revelation during her two seasons as a Dragon growing into a leader of the forward pack en route to a Kiwi Ferns debut at the end of 2023.


In 2024, Teakaraanga-Katoa played in all nine games amassing then career-highs in run metres (1,260) and tackles (262) as she took home the club’s NRLW Player of the Year Award.

The 24-year-old linked up with the Bulldogs for their inaugural season in 2025 averaging 152 run metres whilst totalling 340 tackles at close to 92 per cent efficiency.

“I’m looking forward to next season with the Dragons. It’s familiar territory for me, but this decision certainly wasn’t easy,” Teakaraanga-Katoa said.

“It’s an exciting period ahead for the Dragons and I’m excited to meet the new girls as well as the familiar faces. Right now, my full focus is on the season in front of me with the Dogs, but when the time comes, I’ll be ready to embrace the Red V again.”

Head Coach Nathan Cross shared Teakaraanga-Katoa’s excitement for the coming years.

“Teka will add so much to our club, and we can’t wait to welcome her back,” Cross said.

“She has grown into an incredible player over the past few seasons. Her power, leg-speed, and work ethic will help strengthen our forward pack immensely. I’ll be looking to her to lead and nurture the young talent we have coming through our system. Teka will play a big role in what we are building moving forward.”

wow was disappointed when we lost both Alexis and Angelina to the dogs, great to see them both back, NRLW team building nicely, now if we can sign Teagan Berry up that would be the icing on the cake..

Im not a massive NRLW fan but of course support them when they play, but bringing those two girls back is massive, and is a big up yours to Jamie Soward, he was an absolute cancer in the club and we lost so many players because of him. We should have an awesome forward pack next year, with great halves to compliment

Was sort of half hoping QLD would win tonight (sort of) for our NRLW coach Nathan Cross.. dunno how many u rly take out of these games, but qld defended brilliantly for most of the game even though the blues were dominant.. rly came down to a field goal shootout.

Also noticed that Nathan benched Shenae Ciesiolka from the starting 13...
On other news from the Titans, they have signed one of the Levi sisters, Teagan Levi, one of the real stars of the Australian Rugby Union 7 players ..
