Yeah they do them once a year i think, went to the Kogarah one, when Hook was still coaching us, showed slides of finance, talked about future CoE, Which we just got, took questions from the crowd etcIf it goes ahead I’m sure it will an absolute load of waffle, rubbish talk. Why was Albanese there?Well the Bruce Gordon Centre was officially opened today (22/5/26) by the Prime Minister Mr Anthony Albanese and was attended by several dignitaries including members of the Gordon family.
Billionaire media mogul Bruce Gordon did not attend the opening of the Centre reportedly due to his age, reluctance to travel, and a personal preference to avoid public ribbon-cutting events.
The WIN Network owner, who is based in Switzerland and spends minimal time in Australia, has a known track record of declining to attend ceremonial groundbreakings or openings, preferring to let club executives and board members take the spotlight.
The $65 million facility—officially named The Bruce Gordon Centre to recognize his unwavering half-century financial commitment and support as a major shareholder—was officially opened in his absence with Dragons Chair Andrew Lancaster and club executives doing the honors with Mr. Albanese.
