I’ll be sick if after having 2 incredible five eight talents at St George Matt’s and ball that neither of them play first grade

This is the next step for the club, keeping these elite spine players and progressing and developing them to star in first grade surrounded by quality players like Keaon Drinkwater and the couchmans

Realistically, Can understand Ah Kee going, its not like we are crying out for a half, we have Metcalfe, Atkinson & Reed, below that we have Shadi & Rokko... It's not like we are losing a Reece Robson/Bostock who we were crying out for. If he doesn't want to be here so be it.

Now he has a young spine of Mason Baber, Jasais Ah Kee and most probably Asher Chapman and he's just starting.

Meanwhile our pathways has turned to shit, most wouldn't even know our Pathways Recruitment Manager.

Mug, understand your point and qudos to him for bringing them to the club... if it wasnt his fault for letting them go then whos fault is it.... Bostock, Robson, Dylan Lucas, Tamale, Garrick, Wishart... If it wasnt Basil that let them go who was it??

We can’t keep accepting letting top tier talent leave and saying “ ah well, can’t keep ‘em all”

We HAVE to keep the best ones because they are the ones that more often than not become Great NRL players when they hit 23/24 YO

Atkinson is a fine 6 but he’s not close to an origin caliber half, we should always aim to have have a 6 and 7 prospect in the club who can take the reigns from the first grade 6 if salary cap pressure means we can’t afford the first grade 6

Doesn’t mean we will but that’s in a perfect world

LKT looked promising in ball but I’ve seen enough now I don’t think he’s made of the ‘right stuff’ to be an elite NRL half

Would love to see us make a proactive move for a young gun hooker which looks like it’s in the works.

At least the spine and the depth looks like this next year

1 - Drinkwater/backup Literally anyone’s guess
6 - Atkinson/LKT
7 - Metcalfe/Reed
9 - Liddle/Watson

FWIW if we were to get an injury to either of the halves next year I’d have Reed in there no matter who got hurt. He’s just a straight up better player than LKT
