Well Holbrook and Frizell were all class in the PC, they said the Dragons competed really hard. As I said earlier there are a few errors that always cost us and you wonder what they train for during the week. For instance are we ever going to see a Dragons side win the ball back from a drop out. Also seeing Holmes in action yesterday was enough for me, we surely cant be expecting to pay him what we do and get the return we have, both him and Gutho need to tap out.

Better team lost. Kyle was pretty good. Ditto Feagai who is definitely a much better centre than winger. Egan, LPT, Stewart, Couchmans were excellent. I thought they easily got the better of the Newcastle pack.
Holmes had another shocker. Gagai gave him a bath and there was that missed goal. Should move him to the wing with instructions to hold the ball and run hard.

Sorry but not buying it. More than anyone else it's the fault of Kyle and Atko, Dragons could only score from kicks. But I'll agree Kyle was better than Atko last night.

Yeah, but when they stopped playing barge-ball and strategically kicked, led to trys. Risky, but it worked and was the way to beat the Knights. Came close anyway.
Couchies, Egan, Stewart and LPT were outstanding. FMD when we get some reinforcements in '27 it'll be a whole new ball game!

Not disagreeing but you could say the same thing about the whole backline and you could say it for almost every game this year.

Tu for all the good he does and there was a bit of good really has game changing clangers in him because he seems to lack that desire to just do what needs doing ...
Holmes defensively is a festering turd - giant one that even after you flush still floats in the bowl stinking the joint up ... he makes those around him defensively worse

As per usual, the young pups in the pack can hold their heads high, all ran for triple figures and dominated the Newcastle pack.
Some individual errors and a few 50/50 calls from Sutton cost them the win. I’m still not convinced that the pass from Young to Sharpe for the 1st try wasn’t forward. The rubbish penalty goal on halftime where Crossland knocked on and late in the game a definite forward pass from their catcher to their forward after our kick off.
Anyway, hope Val and Setu feel good today.

Just how good is this pack going to be next year with the 5 amigos probably even better and KK to compliment them?
Drinkwater isn't among the best fullbacks. His metre making, bomb defusion, defence isn't that good. But as an attacking player, one of the best. One of the best for anyone, not just fullbacks. Just what we need. He's going to set up a mountain of tries for Sami.
The pack with a bit of speed and creativity in the backline is going get us a lot of wins.
But might not get another win this year.

I know this a team DY inherited but I'm also convinced a better coach could get more out of this team. He has to see Feagai should remain in the centres. Suli dropped or Val to the wing and Feagai and Suli centres.

With 4 to go in the first half, gutherson actually chickened out of the contest he was in position to compete on ... knocking the ball on in the process ...
He compounded that error breaking early off the scrum giving them the 2 points to take the lead.

the Knight was too close to him because he had a peek which slowed him momentarily. He needed to sprint then boot the bloody thing rather than try to bunt it over the side line.
