Mum wanted to call of the children the Italian version but my Dad said we live in England we need to bring the children up as English. So yes Joseph won the day over Giuseppe.Quite a story, quite an upbringing mate.
Is your given name Polish or Italian? Is Jo short for Joseph (Giuseppe)?

Thanks Ritchie. It's nice to see a few familiar names (you included under your preferred name) - indeed some of the nicer, more respectful folks from a certain other place on the internet.Welcome to the thread and forum @Gouley's Socks. Feel free to post. Btw your username does refer to the Dragons Scott Gourley, was one of my favorite players of the 90s. Was picked for only the one Test, should've played more.
Welcome to this Forum Gourley's Socks. I do recall you from that other place on the internet. Very nice that you have joined us and looking forward to your posts. Cheers DDThanks Ritchie. Yes my name is a reference to Scott. For some reason it always tickled me that his socks would be around his ankles and he generally looked dishevelled by the first tackle of the match.
Simple things I suppose!
Kruger National Park for 3 nights and then 3 nights Chobe National Park in Botswana. Victoria Falls, Cape Town Joberg just to name a few. Bucket listBig game hunter. Will you also be visiting Kruger N P and what else will the safari entail jo.

If you like a tipple, I recommend you try the blueberry gin and blueberry tonic you can get over there. Barman at our resort put us onto it and by the end of our stay everyone in our group was drinking them!
My other red hot tip for Cape Town is book a night out here: https://goldrestaurant.co.za/. A group of us had a great night out there eating the local cuisine, playing djembe drums and enjoying the dancing and singing of the locals. Well and truly worth every cent.

Saw Scottie running along the pathway from Shelley Beach to Manly Beach many years back when me and the missus were doing a stroll along the same path and my wife commented on how physically well he looked as he loped along. I said that he used to be a player for the Dragons but now plays for the bloody Roosters. "By crikey" she said or words to that effect at the time - "if he still played for the Dragons, I'd become a member of the Dragons like you". She isn't much of a league fan unfortunately even to this day.I agree. But what a player. We could use another of him this very moment. Is GS ok?
Did you grow up north side of the Coathanger David. Fill us in. Illusion you too. C'mon fellars this is a nostagia thread and we are all friends.Hey you blokes have not revealed where you grew up.
Born in Sydney Darlinghurst at the Woman's Hospital as it was at the time ......... The Mum and Dad moved to Wollongong and opened a cafe in Crown st ........ Grew up there roaming the streets and playing footy ........ Then moved to Sydney at the age of 18 to play with the Dragons ....... That's all I can say ........Did you grow up north side of the Coathanger David. Fill us in. Illusion you too. C'mon fellars this is a nostagia thread and we are all friends.
No Ritchie. Would have been nice to have grown up and be living in the area called by Peter Peters as "God's Country". But I was born in St George Hospital in 1947, the year in which the mighty Dragons finished in 4th position securing a spot in the finals but were beaten by the Western Suburbs Magpies in the elimination match.Did you grow up north side of the Coathanger David.
