Round 20 vs NZ Warriors

How bloody frustrating is Sloan. For three yrs he never wanted to put his body on the line, either when taking kicks or making tackles. Result, in and out of the top grade. Now he has spent all his chips and was asked to seek work elsewhere, he is taking those pressure bombs and saving tries with last ditch tackling. Head scratcher in the extreme. I expect tho Ryan Carr is enjoying what he is seeing from this enigmatic footballer..

He comes across as someone flogging a horse to near death in order to get it over the line. i.e. in order to have himself confirmed as head coach.
Prob could look at it both ways, firstly flogging the dead horse as you say, but he is also getting the most out of arguably his two best forwards that is raising the twins popularity and enhancing their futures. Dean Young just dont burn out these two valuable commodities too soon. I figured they were at least equal to JDB, 106ks, but they tip the scales at 4ks less, so not big dudes and their bodies can only take so much battering every week, specially Toby being smack bang in the middle where there is no defensive respite.

We have been dudded big time. Peter Peters on Skysports Radio said that the Dragons were "dudded with poor officiating". The bunker has cost us in so many games it is not funny. Against the Warriors at least 4 decisions went against us - the Pompey try, the forward pass to DWZ for his try, the Tu no try and the escort which wasn't.

Chris Butler was the bunker man and bloody Grant Atkins started it in Vegas. I think overall, we have been dudded in 5 games this year and all the NRL does is apologise. The Dragons need to submit an official complaint and ask for a full investigation as to why the Club gets the wrong calls so many times and why are the officials against us.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I think this weekend the officiating in all games is the worse ever, so many blant errors by them and favouring one side constantly..

Our ref lost the plot due to pressure and inexperience. He awarded the Tu try then changed his mind and took it to the bunker which robbed us of a possible match winning six pointer. The bloke that half tackled Tu lost his grip as Tu regained his feet, so no full tackle to stop his progress at any stage. Bunker must've been using white sticks.

He has us playing competitive footy against better opposition on paper.
I beg to differ. The pack is making him look the goods but when you watch our attacking structures especially inside the opposition red zone we are very ordinary.

To my eye he is flogging our best and brightest youngsters but they simply cannot keep their outstanding numbers up.

As a coach you need to demonstrate your ability to manage your squad, introduce new structures both in defence and in attack, not just rely on your young stars to make you look good. I haven't seen any evidence of any new structures.

I say this again if you are going to give the head coaching job to a bloke with a track record such as what Young has it will be doomed to failure once the physical side of the game catches up with our young engine room.

lol

Lost his grip as Tu got to his feet - you are saying that Tu was on the ground and the defender had a grip … that’s the definition of tackled ..

If you think that wasn’t tackled then you simply don’t understand the game …

Now if only the rule were correctly applied like that in 96

But Tu slipped, he wasn’t tackled. Plus the ref ruled play on. So the bunker should not over rule. As Young said if the ref called tackled Saints score on the next play.

There was also the forward pass

.Rookie ref had a bad game. .

It was a tackle in my eyes. Ref should never have called play on. The bunker was always going to rule that play as tackled.

Tu’s arm carrying the ball hits the ground and the warrior player had a hand on him. That’s tackle complete 100%, ref stuffed up by calling play on. Bunker had no choice but to over rule that call. That error is on the ref not the bunker

Anyway, as he slipped rather than was tackled I think it should be play on although I am biased. Someone mentioned Butler was in the bunker in Vegas. That does not surprise me. But the bad call have gone on week after week….

The red zone attack from 6&7 was average. Someone tell Kyle not to run with the ball. Not convinced about Atkinson….

It was a hard one. Just another 50-50 call to go against us.
