Whilst I would agree that Metcalf is a gun, I hope it is not a cap gun or water pistol when he begins his 3 year run with us under Deano Young.

Next year cannot come soon enough as I would like to see how well or not Deano coaches his team now that on paper it looks much stronger than what we have now.

I don't apologise for being negative on his signing. Nothing against his ability. I just rate Reed and am keen to see what he can do with a halves partner who isn't reserve grade level in any other club.

You can say the same about all our recruits Dave, I believe they are quality players with the right attitude and will bring success to the Dragons, something that a particular peanut named Hunt could never give us. Now there is a guy who got signed on a lot of money for all the wrong reasons.

We were desperate to have an actual half back in the squad and so Mary wanted Hunt in 2018 to take over from Josh McCrone who filled in for a long term injury to Drew Hutchison. Possibly had Hutchison not got injured he might have been our long term half and Hunt could have ended up elsewhere.

I rate Reed also , we are in a better situation next year for 6 and seven than we have been for a long time ......... As for Metcalf the guys a gun if he can stay injury free , and it come down to coaching as we say can Deano get the best out of them ....... The luxury of having players like Drinkwater , Metcalf , Reed is what ever the coach's plans are in a game these sort of players play on instinct , play what they see and that alone changes things ....... Over to you Deano ........
