You are right. They threw him a lifeline.Hey Chris
Didn't Max Feagai, Matt's brother, just sign a 2 year deal from 2026 with the Titans. I don't think he has retired.

Dont agree. One of our few forwards with ball skills. A trimmer Luch will be dangerous on the edge. He may tho have to take a pay cut if extended. I dont think there will he any more $1m contracts like Vals, handed out, with the KK signing.Been overpaid and under-performing since day 1.)
I think Trei Fuller has been talked about for 27 RVHOff contract '26:
Lawrie
CT
Sloan
Emre
Sele
Leilua
Feagai
Cook
Lawson.
Who will fill their boots in the Top 30.
Jake and Loko for starters. Both need long term extensions, same as Hamish has. Luch only one I want to stay. Apparently we want an outside back, a middle forward and a full back for '27.
Jd this guy played on the wing in PmX111/PNG match. A good finisher. Like to see some full back footage. Can he tackle, manager the defensive line, how is his aerial work. He is rather bantam sized, so is he rag dolled returning the leather.I think Trei Fuller has been talked about for 27 RVH
I think he is in the Jai Gray mould RVH, there is footage of him playing FB for the phins and I think he handled quite well, thats just my opinion. We were one of a few clubs on his list. Fearless for a little fella, but yeah he would get rag dolled.Jd this guy played on the wing in PmX111/PNG match. A good finisher. Like to see some full back footage. Jye Gray is an exceptional fullback at Souths. Fuller is of the Ben Barba mould and knowing Flanno, Fuller would be his choice for fullback if we can land him and I think he will be great for us.I think he is in the Jai Gray mould RVH, there is footage of him playing FB for the phins and I think he handled quite well, thats just my opinion. Thanks. Looks like Sloan in '23 and the nameless one in defense. No thanks. All out new recruits should be scrutinised for their defense too before we bring em here.there is footage of him playing FB for the phins and I think he handled quite well, thats ju
I think Leilua should be playing prop.
Not when tackling mate, footage of him being steam rolled by an Eagles player. Little guys should target the legs of the big boppers, the harder they fall. Billy Smith and Peter Sterling were masters at it.Fearless for a little fella,
On those numbers Clive Curchill wa not small for the era. The average body mass in rugby union in 1955 was 84.8 kg (+ or - 8.2kg!) so 78 kg is not especially small for a back while the current average height an Austlraian male is 175.6 cm.Thanks. Looks like Sloan and the nameless one in defense. No thanks. All out new recruits should be scrutinised for their defense too before we bring em here.
Clive Churchill was a bantam. Rose from his Central Newcastle roots to become a KANGAROO full back then an IMMORTAL and has a SCG stand named in his honor. Not bad for a bloke of his size, only 176 cm and 78 kg.
Agree RVH, but I've given up comparing yesteryears players to today's athletes. There is just so much difference. the game itself demands certain body shapes and physical attributes that weren't even considered back in the day. Take for instance our good old Craig Young, considered a pretty good prop in his day, how would go now ?Thanks. Looks like Sloan and the nameless one in defense. No thanks. I remember going to Norm Provan's shop in Rockdale as a kid. So tall. His body type was perfect for the modern game. He would still be a star today. But this puts me in mind of Nelson Solomona recently complaining that the game has gone soft and there is no longer a place for his body shape (just bcs the rules won't sllow him to bash people illegally). He is only kidding himself. The game has plenty of room for men who are two meters tall and 130 kg. Plenty.Agree RVH, but I've given up comparing yesteryears players to today's athletes. Dont know who we look at for FB hopefully DA has that one on notice![]()
Yes I do agree with you Kim, but in todays world the tackling has changed, the rules have changed the way the game is played and obviously the fitness levels have changed dramatically. I have no doubt he would have been a star in our game today but he would have been under the training regime of todays NRL. For me I just love to leave things alone in comparisons, remember the great players for who they were in their era and they will forever be embossed in NRL, State and Australian memories. They will remain true immortals in their own right and most of all true gentlemen who adored the Dragons and would do anything for the club.I remember going to Norm Provan's shop in Rockdale as a kid. Reckon Albert with his ball playing skills would be out of place in todays engine room Jd. He and Artie.Agree RVH, but I've given up comparing yesteryears players to today's athletes. What a coincidence so did I, not to shop but to have him sign my Dragons scrap book because I could not attend games as I was locked away in a strict boarding school. Sticks was a giant as 10 yr old yours truly only came up to his waist. Btw I procured his moniker and most of the rest of the players too. I was over the moon.I remember going to Norm Provan's shop in Rockdale as a kid.
Loko Jr aint much off that now and at only 20 yrs prob has more bulk to add to his giant frame. The game has plenty of room for men who are two meters tall and 130 kg. Plenty.

Lets hope whoever DA wants at the back can tackle and puts his body on the line.
