After the initial disappointment, I'm feeling a bit better about it just as long as he has good assistants and orders from Creagh and/or Watsford to listen to them, and take action on their suggestions.

Seems like a good type of guy and had many hats in the coaching profession. Better career than Deano methinks as assistant coach as well as being head coach of Somoa and will be the assistant with the Perth Bears next year. Did he get interviewed and was it a fair hearing?

Well so it has been reported that the mystery 3rd application for our head coaching spot was a bloke by the name of Ben Gardiner. If anyone doesn't know who he is, apparently Samoa's head coach and currently the Perth Bears assistant coach.

Also reported that Michael Chieka wants a coaching gig but despite his success as a coach wasn't even granted an interview.

Well to me that smacks of a process that has been heavily influenced by the people sitting in the back rooms of power such as Craig Young and Peter Doust to name 2.

Nobody will convince me that the process of appointing our head coach position was done on a fair and unbiased manner.

I hope for the sake of the club that this appointment works out. Time will tell

Jo I mentioned this a long time ago , about the boys club still pulling the strings ........ As I mentioned he was always going to get the job ........ The two you pointed out have been a big influence on where the club is at the present time .......... Just hope D Young does it his way and not listen to all the " hangar oneras "

You did and Im just so disappointed that nothing seems to have changed in regards to the manipulation of coaching positions when clearly the process has been biased
