I dunno what to make of the changes tbh, unfortunately Lawrie starting is more about Lawries farewell than what's best for the team.

I see Nick, Kade and Hutcho on the extended, but I dunno if 1 or 2 of them get a game.. more cause I dunno who misses out to make that happen.. Kade for Kyle maybe... but the others I dunno.. Hutcho for Webby maybe.. Nick @ctr maybe? Would be a lot of change.. but maybe 1 of em.. Deano still needs to win games, reality is hes shooting @28% Win/Loss.

I’d love to see Kade in for Kyle, Nick in for Suli and Hutchinson in for Kerr. Won’t happen but would be great

I hope for Big D's sake that next year he can be a bit more open to making changes to the 17 where warranted. Continually picking Kyle since Reed has been back, continually picking Atkinson at fullback when he is out of his depth and now giving Blake a farewell starting spot, is crap.

Parra played with a bit of spirit last week to beat the Sharks so it won't surprise me to see them do a number on us to finish the year out.

Hopefully I'm wrong and we pull off a good win, otherwise onwards and upwards to season 2027!

Sometimes I just can't. Backs were absolutely atrocious 2 weeks in a row while the forwards at least held their own so what does Deano do? Shakes up the forwards and leaves the backs unchanged. This is Deano "thinking outside the box".

100% mate, picking that team is just madness and allows another score to be put on us just like the end of last season.. Another huge loss here leaves everyone with a really bad taste in their mouth and no momentum into next year. He'll be skating on thin ice right from rd 1 and so will the team if there isn't a massive improvement.

matched them for line breaks, building towards something. Save Deano the trip and
just email it out Sunday night.

Mary or not Mary, the real problem is we've got two more years to find out and
nothing so far suggests it'll look any different. Very comfortable being
uncomfortable about that one.

I'm just trying to understand why they wanted Deano? Because his old man is in a high position in the club but he doesn't have the power to appoint a coach. I wonder if Craig is in favour of Brett Finch becoming an assistant.

Giving Blake a starting spot on his last game is the right thing to do, we are shit we may as well show a local junior respect (has a flow on effect to other local juniors). Picking Kyle is also the night choice, there is no point in playing Reed now. Let him bulk up and prepare for a good off season. Atkinson is another story

Atkinson should be halfback if Reed is better off not playing.

I'm glad he is giving Blake a send off. If Josh Kerr had one ounce the effort and determination of Blake, he'd be a star. Can't say the same of Kyle and Atkinson. No one to replace Val and Suli with.

Blake has had this entire year as his final year and goodbye to fans.

He has been so poor in the final years of his contract that at times it's been embarrassing for everyone to watch. Seeing those high impact hit-ups where he is held and then pushed backwards with little on no drive in his legs.

Coaches continually giving him pitch time when he should have been confined to NSW Cup long ago and now we have to play him in the last game of the season and take minutes away from someone more deserving, plus give ourselves a lower chance of winning the game. Blake has been very well rewarded financially for his time at the club.

Bring him out for a round of applause before the game if you like but don't subject us all to more awkward and embarrassing and unearned gametime.

This game needs to be won. No more dicking around.

That's a good point. He should have been embarrassed to pick up his paycheck. I change my mind. Blake, Kyle and Atko should not be in the team.

Mixed feelings. He's not first grade standard. But I think he might be a bit better value to the team than Josh Kerr. But Deano, at the top of his game as a head coach, will probably use both so Webster and/or Halangahu warm the bench for 80 minutes.

Why show respect when respect isn't given back? Has Blake shown respect to the club and the jersey with his performances each time he has worn it? Fair enough if he gets a bench spot as a last hoorah but to promote him now when a younger player good be spending those valuable minutes there instead, is the wrong call.

Hahahaha picking Kyle is never the right choice, he is not a first grader and should not be anywhere near the team under any circumstances. Reed could do with a few more minutes in first grade before the year is out, DY backed him earlier in the year and should stand by that now IMO. Failing that, play LKT and Atko in the halves or any other combination that doesn't involve Kyle.

He is wearing 10 … doesn’t mean he is starting … we will know more later

But the bench needs a Couchman on it so if Blake starts we may actually learn more about team balance
