I thought LPT would be certain for first grade.

I hope LPT is in the first grade squad. It I was to select first grade and reserve right now, it would be
1 Gutho
2 Fale (unseen besides highlights reel, but apparently training on one wing)
3 Holmes
4 Suli (I think he is better suited to edge backrow, but we are stacked with them now)
5 Setu Tu (unseen, but training on the other wing)
6 Flannagan
7 Atkinson
13 Stewart
12 Su'a
11 Leilua (start with the experience. Halangahu or R Couchman could start if preseason really good)
10 T Couchman
9 Liddle (could start with Cook, as Liddle is great off the bench, but he should play at least 50 mins a game.
8 Guler
14 Cook (would be good impact off the bench or start with him for the first 30 minutes)
15 Pasifika Tonga
16 Kerr
17 R Couchman

NSW Cup
1 Slone or Lyric Craft. If Lyric Craft can play fullback, I would give him a run there. I see no future with Slone
2 C T (I don't mind him in first grade, he is good for hit ups and hard to stop close to the line)
3 Buchanan (his size is a concern for first grade, I hope he can make up for his lack of size)
4 Coutts (Very impressed with his highlights reel, I see a potential first grade centre or secondrower)
5 Lawson/Feagai/Williams (Williams is the one I am most hopeful of from a future standpoint. Lawson lacks size)
6 O'Neil(only seen highlights reel, but like what I see and see more potential than LKT)/LKT (not convinced)
7 Reed
13 Sele
12 Halangahu (If he performed better in trials than Leilua, He would be in my starting team)
11 Stanley Trail (only seen a short highlights package. I like what I saw) /N Tsougranis
10 Webster (just watched his highlights reel, look like a goer)
9 Finau (unseen)/Fagalilo (highlights package looks good)
8 Muagututia (I just watched his highlights reel and liked what I saw. I see a potential first grade prop)
14 Lawrie (there isn't anyone else I have seen play prop, but hope there is someone better in our squad)
15 Fagalilo/Finau
16 Hutchinson
17 Tsougranis

I would be picking lots of players based on potential, hope and with an eye towards 2027, especially in NSW Cup. Several players I looked up on Youtube and had my first glimpse of them or had only seen a recent highlights reel. Coutts was most impressive. I like the look of Stanley Trail. Muagututia, could be an impact prop? Webster could push for a first grade spot at prop. Fagalilo looks to have some game at hooker. I want Reed to play halfback in NSW Cup and see how he goes. I hold very high hopes for him to be a regular first grader by 2027

I just watched Jesse Williams's highlights reel. He looks like an out and out winger, a fast try scoring machine. He still is on the slim/light side. Hopefully he can fill out a bit. I hold high hopes for him. I would start with him on one wing in NSW Cup and would be hoping he can be ready for first grade by 2027. Does anyone know how old he is? Here is his highlights package

Not sure which thread but U Mug Fan said he was having some personal problems and was taking an indefinite break.

I was just thinking Jesse Williams could have the makings of a good fullback. I was thinking he could have a bit of Billy Slater about him. He would have to have a good passing game and be able to defend at the back. With his speed, he could be a strike weapon and provide X factor at fullback. If I was Flanno, that is the position, I would like to see him given some game time in NSW Cup. I think NSW Cup is where we should be doing some experimenting. From his highlights package, he looks like an out and out winger from the 80's

The 5/8 in those first couple of tries has some serious skill as well. Is it Hammoud?

Yeah, I think it is. I have noticed some people have wraps on him. Here is his highlights package. Going back a few years ago, I saw some St George Harold Mathews juniors at an eatery. I asked them who were the best prospects in the team, and I am pretty sure Hammoud was one of them who they mentioned. It is a bit like remembering a dream, like a vague memory, that only comes back when I saw his name.

After reading your post, I look him up on Youtube and saw a highlights package. He does have lots of strings to his bow. Good in the air, can hit a hole, can pass, not afraid of contact, speed. Hopefully we will be Wax Lyrical about him in the coming years. Here is the highlights package

A class act. Our coaching staff seem to be taking their time promoting him, then maybe for the best as he has had some injuries and they may wanna tuffen his body in the lower grade. Nevertheless I can see Lyric and Charlie pairing in our centres in several yrs time. Perhaps Lyric may also be suited at the back.

Two negatives I see from him; game awareness or rather lack of involvement and poor defense reading. These he can improve on and must if he is to play top grade footy. Could also use some extra kilos on his frame.
