yeah .. there was an attacking shift left late in the game where hutchinson (i think) was looking for LKT and he was just out of position ... not great.

The game also highlighted just how good and simultaneously flawed Nick the Greek is as a centre. A semblance of a passing game and there are 3 tries down his side.

Its him and O'Neill not working together... they are so clunky, nothing comes off at speed.. and if it does its probably a hospital pass that gets knocked on.. that was mostly O'Neill I think.. tbf I dont think we have had the same halves combination all season almost..

LKT ran himself a few times, sometimes it was telegraphed.. sometimes not.. but he doesnt have that acceleration to break the line.. it seems like most teams we play have fast skillful outside backs.. we dont have it.. that said.. if Lawson doesnt fumble a few balls, maybe we win by 2 or 3 tries.. the injuries to Heidke, Reed and possibly Lyric.. we havent been able to overcome it...

They'll get Reed back with enough time to make a run for the finals. I'm not writing them off yet. Also Heidke as far as I know will be back soon.

UPDATE: We can confirm that Asu Kepaoa was sent off for a homophobic slur towards Dragons winger Nathan Lawson. The slur was heard by the officials and he was quickly dismissed by referee Damian Brady.

Newcastle’s Asu Kepaoa will have to wait until Monday to see if he will be referred straight to the NSWRL judiciary after allegations of a homophobic slur against St George Illawarra player Nathan Lawson.

Kepaoa was sent-off just before half-time during the clash against the Dragons on Friday night. It is unclear what was said but the comment was direct towards Lawson and was heard by nearby match officials.

Yeah that was ordinary what ever was said and clearly directed at Lawson who was seething. Considering the touch judge was right there it shouldn’t be too hard to find him guilty and rub him out for a while. Don’t need that rubbish in the game.

Good to see Tui, Fale and Nick get through the game in one piece. All 3 were busy and punched out strong numbers and TPH continues to go well. If only our 6 and 7 took better control, that’s one that got away in the end
