He's not big enough to play prop. I know Rueban Cotter goes ok for a lightweight prop but Su'A is even lighter. Might make a good lock but not better than Hamish Stewart.Yep, potentially strong area for us if the younger players develop. I'd like to see Su'a move into the middle to give opportunities to the younger players at 2rf & to see his effectiveness as a prop. He's got an awkward running style & ability to offload that suits the middle imo.
Someone like a Nick T with his explosive straight line running style would be good for the edge. I prefer edges who can run a direct hard line through gaps, preferably with great leg speed. Also need to see the younger players defensive ability on the edge. Su'a is solid in that area.
I agree but comparing him to Widdop is what has me lacking a bit of confidence. His game looks similar to Widdop's. That is, a running and kicking 5/8. Team still lacks a game manager/play maker.Would be awesome if Atko develops into an effective player like Widdop for us, although Widdop was more experienced when he arrived from memory. I don't know, just have a good feeling about him.

What needs to happen is Leilua turns himself into a prop like KK did. KK was a much better second rower than Leilua but nowhere near as good as a second rower as he is a prop.
According to Zero Tackle he's heavier than I thought. They have him listed as 100kg. But significantly smaller than Keon who they have listed as 110kg.Sua isn't lighter than cotter. I'd say he's similar size to Keon, not massive props but not tiny either.

I actually thought the opposite. He might go ok as a prop. But I thought the problem was too many lightweight props.I reckon he's bigger than 100, looks bigger.
Unfortunately it seems Leilua just isn't as strong as Keon. Remember the story about Liddle giving him a touch up at training? Don't know if it's true but it was a very popular rumour if it wasn't true. He's not big enough to play prop. I know Rueban Cotter goes ok for a lightweight prop but Su'A is even lighter. He's in his last year of his contract, so its either now or never.I reckon sua is fine on the edge yes we have some talented players who will eventually replace him but not just yet, leilua would make a good impact bench prop bring him on go all out for 20 minutes then take him off, I cant see him getting resigned though dragons are definitely paying overs for him, unless if he has a massive 2026 but I can’t see that

Liddle smacked Luciano down twice?Twice and the Ranga that was there at the time too.
Lets hope they all come back fit and healthy with a refreshed mindset. I would assume that what we have currently is all we will have for 2026 and any announcements will be for 2027. I'm looking forward to our juniors this year, I am quietly confident on us doing some really good things with these guys, anyway thats my new years wish.Last day for year, boys are back Jan 3.
Still a few spots in the top 30. Flanno said 4 spots a couple of weeks ago. Just a question of whether we can get a big name, like Taulagi.Lets hope they all come back fit and healthy with a refreshed mindset. Yeah I hope so Ryan, I'll just go with the assumption that we havent been able to get anyone for 2026 and if we do it will be a bonus. I dont consider Tualagi a big name.Still a few spots in the top 30. Flanno said 4 spots a couple of weeks ago. Just a question of whether we can get a big name, like Taulagi.
900 years away I doubt that the NRL will exist then.Yeah I hope so Ryan, I'll just go with the assumption that we havent been able to get anyone for 2926 and if we do it will be a bonus. I dont consider Tualagi a big name.
Taulagi is an Origin winger. He'd be a big signing for us.Yeah I hope so Ryan, I'll just go with the assumption that we havent been able to get anyone for 2926 and if we do it will be a bonus. I dont consider Tualagi a big name.
