Never has had any success even as an assistant coach in my opinion. Yes his heart is with the Dragons but that means shit as far as I am concerned. Its being able to manage a squad of fulltime rugby league players on and off the field and give plenty of guidance and mentoring. I don't think that Deano has got those attributes in total.

It would be ridiculous which is why I doubt it's under serious consideration. I hope so anyway. I think everyone has had it with father than son duos in important positions for a while.

Well Tim Watsford who was watching another loss at Kogarah against the Warriors has come out publicly and said that the interviews for our new head coach will commence in June.

My only advice, is take your time and make sure you select the right head coach. I personally fear that this current crop of talented young forwards will be wasted or lost if you don't.

Were they giving Deano a few weeks to see what he could do and have now determined he's not up to the job?

Don't know but to me he was never the answer. In my experience the three main factors in retaining and recruiting has always been:

1. Money, money, money
2. The ability of the club to have a competitive top 4 team and a chance of playing in a GF
3. The coach, can he improve me? Do I want to be coached by him? Is he rated highly.

When Arthur took over Parra they were in crisis. He turned them into a premiership heavyweight pretty quickly. He might have overstayed a bit and the roster needed to be regenerated but that happens a lot to long-term coaches. That's the way I see it anyway. I'd be happy for him or Cheika to be appointed. Hornby a distant 3rd.
