I got this list by looking through this thread.
But only 10 options allowed so I had to cull some unrealistic options like Steve Price, Mark Gasnier, Shane Flanagan himself. I didn't nominate Jason Ryles who I'd bet is going to be the next coach sacked.

3 choices allowed. Voting allowed until a bit after seasons end though I presume it will be decided well before that.

and he was no superstar which I actually like, can have some understanding with majority of the playing group + still young enough to relate with a large number of players.

Above all, being in that Penrith system since 2018. That’s the biggest green tick based on the last few panthers assistants

Lets not kid ourselves, it will DYoung as interim coach, with the promise of a world wide search for our new coach which will be conducted by CYoung and he will appoint his son on a 3 year deal...

Brent Read said we were having meetings today and things likely to happen prior to tuesdays official board meeting.. so we shall see, I dont think Flanno will stand down, but genuinely I am worried about his mental health. If he was gone tomorrow.. then yep I agree Young seems the most obvious for a short-term situation... its not impossible that Flanno coaches 1 more game though I guess since they appear to be moving straight to 2027 head coach recruitment.. not just interim.

The general fan goss (accuracy unknown) is that the favourites are Hornby or Arthur if the WIN side can get the Dragons side to give up on Young.... i.e. that Hornby may be the compromise given he is still an ex-dragons player.. and supposedly hes willing to come now if its a permanent role (if indeed we wanted that)... and noting that Hornby has no more head coaching experience than Young (i.e. none), but atleast hes not the son of a board member or another grumpy old fellow.

Arthur I dont know the status.. they have spoken to other coaches too though... I can see Arthur and JD have decent Super League records.. but no idea how to really measure that vs their respective roster strength etc when comparing them to Peters for example.. hopefully they are speaking to many others.. but I doubt many others would be considered. I do really hope the Watsford assessment of 'how we got here' will help them be really clear that they need a coach that is adaptable to the game as it continues to change in years to come, and who genuinely places importance on the process of getting the best out of young players (not just lip service).. cause that appears to be the reality across all NRL clubs now.. esp once 2 more teams come in also.. the average roster age should drop again.
