Gee really slim pickings jodragon40 jodragon40. So much more to clean out of the joint with respect to the players and coaches. Many players have been tapped and with them eventually gone, the rebuild will happen again and will it be with a new coach? The plot thickens!

Yes, however, Hornby's "success" as a caretaker was very squad dependant. When he copped injuries and was only able to select planks the results suffered.

Neither have any real demonstrated success as a head coach, but with the talent pool of head coaches ever dwindling it is inevitable.

Agree with every thing you have said here totally ........ Do they see what we see , or is the boys club mates rates thing still going on ......... ?

There is an inevitability to the spoon unless squad spots 29/30 are top tier outside backs ...
The injuries/depth and crap we have in the squad has put pay to that ...

Has a team ever gone spoon to premiers ;-)

It has to be someone really capable of getting good results. We cannot afford to have someone who only brings about a couple of wins followed by 4 or more losses.
The cupboard does not contain rich chocolate cake but just plain ol' crackers at the moment.
The Club has fiddled and arsed about like they always have and it then leaves us with the crumbs and further years of suffering indigestion.
We could have the talent that we want but they might be given poor instructions to perform well.
I am hoping for the best outcome though.

Yes in the old league comp.
Wests Magpies Spooners in 1933 and then premiers in 1934.
The Roosters in modern times nearly did it. Spooners then grand final but got beaten by us. Roosters Spooners 2009 then grand final in 2010 beaten by us yaaaah.

Roosters went from the spoon in 2009 to leading 8-6 at half time in the 2010 grand final. We all know what happened in that second half babyyyyyyyy
