I think all are interim including Deano to the end of the year - only 7 games to go and then big decisions will be made as to who will support Deano in 2027 with him the Head Coach starting in that year. I suppose that will be up to Deano

I don't think he deserves to be cut any slack. He'll have a much better team to work with next year. There shouldn't be any repeats of some of the lowest of the low quality games Dragons have been involved in this year. Like KF, he got the job due to his family, not because he earned it. I'm not going to cut him any slack. If that is going to offend some people, let me say sorry in advance.

Next year I was talking but I guess he has yet to pick who he wants to give that job too.
Where in your opinion is the bar set at for Deano for 2027 and be realistic

At least. Top 4 or top should be the goal. Who else? Penrith are slipping, Melbourne have slipped. Warriors and @+*# Rorters will be good.

Exactly this no more excuses ......... But they will find a way to extend his contract if he doesn't make the 8 as they do .......

Yes I think the big goal for 2027 is to be up in the top 8. Young as the new HC will be better off than he has been taking over from SF. But if he fails to reach that goal, there will be lots of questions asked and many "I told you so's".

I dont think Fullback is a good place for Val at his age, soft tissue injuries etc.. in a pinch its an option though... but also leaves a hole @ctr to fill.. I feel almost positive some sort of fullback cover will be bought in though, even if gutho doesnt retire.. doesnt have to be a dedicated #1.. just someone to cover fullback and maybe ctr.. Averillo would have been perfect... in hindsight the Tigers may have made a good call there with the cap increase coming.
TPH could possibly get a Development Contract for 2027? I know there are a lot of names to fit.. thats why I reckon they will bump a couple up into Top30 spots for minimum contracts (maybe Heidke and/or Hutcho).. unless they think they can find someone better than TPH as a backup fullback.. I would have liked Votano but the dogs got him.
