It was Marky Mark's year plus there is that strange thing that never fails for the Roosters signing a half or 5/8th from another club whose career is coming to an end in the NRL and they win a ring or 2. Watson gets his from Robbo.
I am pissed that they can win GF's but they just know what they have to do, even Brett Morris knows how the Roosters system works now and he knows it's the best.
Jobs for the boys after footy if loyal. The NRL love the Roosters.
I'm hoping that some of that love comes our way.

Easts have been buying premierships since 1974. They can still do it under the salary cap because Uncle Nick will always see them right.
Penrith have been blunted by having the eyes picked out of them by other clubs. Not so the Rorters, who always manage the get exactly the type of player they're after.
No 28 year-old half-back with a career total of 44 games for them!

Nothing will be done whilst Politis has V'landys in his pocket. Apparently they are looked after for life. So every player that has played for the Roosters gets that do they ?? its a rort and we all know it.

Even the Donkeys had to upgrade Payne Haas a few years ago even though he still had 2 years left on his deal. You think Payne Haas can't get his fair share of "arms length" TPA's up there? Donkeys still had to upgrade him!

We all know what money and power can bring about in a multitude of things. And the phrase of its who you know and not what you know that helps fuel the better Clubs.
We have been living in a world where there is so much injustice and corruption it has become more of a norm because our voices don't matter much these days and when power and money - lots of it - can be handed out to important people in charge of big Corporations, Organisations, Businesses then basically plenty of their decisions are adopted to give them more power and dosh and we just go about our lives as nothings.
Acceptance is a cruel thing in reality because we have no choice.
Since the takeover by Uncle Nick, the Roosters have enjoyed the fruits of success in ways that we can only dream of.
If he can provide these juicy fruits, then why don't we as a legendary club do things so that we can also enjoy those tasty morsels?
I am hoping that the next few years will see us involved in massive great changes in how we operate and function and become very successful.
Going over and over on saying that the Roosters are rorters doesn't help our cause. We have got to do things ourselves to be much better and this is happening in my opinion.

Wake me up when the Dragons have a team with the prop of the year and 11 current or former SOO players in the team.
I understand you and agree though I don't see any situation where the Dragons or any other team, not even the Broncos, could get away with that.

we were close to that in the early 2020s with near to 10 current/former origin players. Still sucked.
Year before last we had 8 and one Dally M position winner ... and yes ...still sucked.

Bird, McCulloch, McGuire, Mbye, Molo and Woods were well passed their SOO careers when recruited. So much so that for some of them, their former clubs were paying part of their salary.
The only one of the Roosters SOO players from yesterday that remotely fits that description was DCE and his former club wanted to keep him.

Well done to the chooks, great performance. Fwd pack dominated & teddy was excellent along with dce. Knights showed great defensive efforts & ponga was brilliant.

I'm trying to work out why you are carrying water for the Roosters.
You can't see the difference between recruiting guys who played mostly very few SOO games some years prior to joining the Dragons, who were not only no longer wanted by their clubs but in some cases, their clubs were happy to pay part of their salary to get them off the books to the Roosters SOO players from yesterdays game? You think Roosters recruiting the incumbent NSW hooker is the same with us recruiting McCullouch a few years after he played a SOO game or two and was at the time no longer wanted by his club?

i wasnt the one that brought up current or ex origin players that was you … I just pointed out we had similar numbers … of course the quality is different
As for holding a torch for the roosters - any club should want to be them … we are taking steps finally and I am keen to see how it unfolds …
