jesus BMM.. I mean its less of a big deal for the club cause its a dev spot and he was rly just gonna helping out nsw cup, but between him, Fifita and Sele, oh and yeah Tom's HIA issues, 4 blokes who are getting re-injured each time they come back from injury, is that on our strength and conditioning guys? Or r they just gone?
BMM age & notoriously bad injury. Fifita had the same injury as BMM I think? Sele always been injury prone. Eisenhuth concussion, can't do anything about that one tbh.
The issue is picking guys who are older or known to be injury prone. Hopefully this year is the last of the batch of the old/injury prone recruits.
Is Luch okay to play? Think he went off early...

most of these guys finish up this year, the 3 we have left that are an issue for 2026 will be Sele, Ravalawa and Lawrie.. the rest of the squad is solid.
In the short-term though.. can we fill that 30th spot with a middle that upgrades the squad, or we gonna have to bite the bullet and just get it done with what we have. 1 more injury or suspension though.. and yikes.

Matt Feagai has a broken ankle and syndesmosis. Depending on how bad the break is, it's likely the syndesmosis would keep him out for longer. Either way, he'll be gone for at least a couple of months. Good chance for Finau and also for Ben Rumble.

BRumble isnt even getting regular NSW Cup footy, and tbh I think he needs time before he proves he can handle reserve grade.. I think its a bit faster and he needs to adjust... im hoping he will because as a winger, he has a good physicality for it.
But any injuries to our 1to5 for the next month, and its Allan or Lawson into firsts...

I meant a chance for Ben Rumble to show what he can do in reserve grade, in the open age group, and Finau a chance to see what he can do in first grade. I don't expect Ben Rumble to get a chance in first grade this year but if he goes well over the next 12-16 weeks, basically for the rest of this season, he might earn himself a shot at a top 30 contract next year.

Mat has had surgery and home he is aiming for 3 months return to play.
Ryan had surgery recently after needing time for his meniscus to heal.

Would drastically need to improve his handling & run a bit harder. He does have the build for an athletic winger though.

I think Ben Rumble played himself out of favour last round, hes been a little bit rocks and diamonds this year, done some really good stuff at different times on the wing, I thought maybe just needs time to adjust to the pace of cup.. and maybe he does.. but at ctr on the weekend, he was awful defensively and offensively.. and im not sure what we do with him now.. I think hes back to purely wing again.. what is probably causing this problem is that they are trying to figure out what to do with Lawson and Rumble is just moving around to suit.
Lawson also doesnt seem to be able to grab either the ctr or wing jersey with both hands, I feel like he has to re-learn how to run again I feel, start using his footwork which he clearly has.. but somehow seems to run square into a defender every time... very sloan-like.
Buchanan probably comes in to replace Ben though, I assume he had an injury or HIA or something because he wasnt in either grade on the weekend.

He had a disappointing game, no doubt. In the lower grades he seemed to be able to break a lot of tackles for one reason or another. In the open age group, not so much.

Sea Eagles prop Toafofoa Sipley has received four-match ban over the hip drop tackle that left Dragons winger Mat Feagai with a broken leg.
The Manly forward was referred directly to the NRL judiciary on an ungraded Dangerous Contact charge and pleaded guilty, but claimed he had been dazed after contact with Feagai's shoulder.
However, judiciary panel members Greg McCallum and Tony Puletua took little time to agree on a four-match suspension, which included a discount for Sipley's guilty plea.
