If that NRL deal isn’t on the table yet we may as well give him away because he’ll have a dozen clubs chasing him

Only my opinion but he’s our most talented kid in pathways, don’t overthink it. Sign him up like the dolphins signed Izzy Katoa and invest in him

He’s the future in the halves

How come we cant extend our own player early? Is it like a law, or is it more that his management just want to wait till end of season to have the discussions?

So no Dragons players made it. Not the worst thing. At least according to how teams used to be chosen where it was all about who you knew.

We had 4 players make it 2 years ago and I think Halangahu was our only representative last year

We’ll have some next year trust me, Burton/Ah Kee/Meafou/Phoenix Johns all a year older and will be in the mix

It’s a bad judge of talent sometimes though, lots of kids have made it from agenda’s/reputation etc. and other kids have deserved selection and missed out

QLD won the whole tournament and only had 4 kids make it from memory and NSWCHS had 8 players make it who didn’t even make the final

not the be all and end all

IMG_0637.jpegDoesn’t necessarily involved dragons but the Harold Matt’s POTY has signed with the roosters for 3 years, had every club under the sun chasing him btw

Massive signing, was promised to him and his parents that one day he’d be partnering Sam walker in the halves even with Toby Rodwell killing it who’s 2 years older than him (ruthless clubs lie to the kids to keep them unfortunately)

They have an absolute embarrassment of riches for young halves coming through

its insane that they keep getting kids there wish such an obvious backlog in front.. I guess they figure they will get the best development (whether true or not) and can always sign elsewhere later? But its a gamble because quality players r gonna miss out.. its also not always obvious as a teenager which kids r the ones who will make it.
